Radiohead. They also have no concept of how to make an album. I was listening to BHAR and was absolutely disgusted by the lack of flow. It jumped from Starlight, a pretty good inspiring and uplifting song, to the title track, a Prince/Aphex Twin-sex mashup. What the hell, Muse?majoras_wrath
You lost me there. I actually think their album are put together really expertly. I don't get what you're saying about Starlight either.
It jumps from Starlight to Super Massive Black Hole. (not the title track, oops) Those two songs just don't go together one after each other. Its far too jarring, and not the only time that happens.majoras_wrath
I understand you now. That title track thing threw me off, but I got what you were saying like five seconds after I posted. :P
I agree that's an alarming transition that should have been handled differently, but otherwise I'd say the arrangement is flawless. I love how it's broken up with little songs like Solider's Poem and then long, gradually building Invincable, and finally the deadly-sounding Assasin. And then everything gets all southern souding and you barely even notice the transition. I love that. :)

That's not true at all. The subtle shift in mood from "Optimistic"(obvious) to "In Limbo" (kind of inbetween) and Idioteque (as depressing a song can be) is brilliant. Opinions, again, I suppose. Don't you not like albums anyway though, BT?

Well I haven't listened to a ton of Radiohead, but so far I like more songs by Muse so my vote goes to them.
I like both, but Muse takes the cake with their insanely awesome live performances and Map of Your Head.lobodobI don't need another map of your head... :D Love it!

I agree with that one :D Map of Your Head ftw! Actually all of Hullabaloo FTW!
Isn't your avatar from Thom Yorke's The Eraser cover? yes, you and majoras wrath are the only two who got it, its just really zoomed in. People think iots random lines or zebra stripes. I got it!! D: I just didn't say anything cause I figured everybody knew.[QUOTE="Neon-Tiger"][QUOTE="lobodob"] No doubt, that's Muse at their best. Well, so far. ;) [QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"][QUOTE="Neon-Tiger"][QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"] I love some albums. I love Radiohead's albums, In Rainbows, Ok Computer, the Bends, and Hail to the Thief mostly.sxdx89
Muse obviously. I'm not really a fan of Radiohead but I respect them as a band. I just love Muse's over the top performances and apocalyptic sound.
Radiohead for me. I love Muse's early work (Showbiz and Origin) but their new stuff doesn't do anything for me. I especially dislike the cliche conspiracy direction they've gone lyrically. As for Radiohead I love the majority of their work and I think they're a lot more experimental when compared to Muse. They've done jazzy songs, Thom has even rapped and beatboxed. They just keep evolving.
[QUOTE="Jandurin"]the only reason MUSE is winning is because they're closer to "Metal"Neon-TigerWhaa?... Whaa? What? :x
