Who Here Is Sick Of European Eitetism!?

(disclaimer I don't mean all of Europe or all Europeans.) Who here is sick of European elitetism? Seriousilly too many of them accuse Americans of many faults but they themselves have problems. I'm sick of being stereotyped as an overwieght gun toting bush supporter who causes war.

They accuse us of being blind to our government but they also hold on to their governments every word. They let the european union take over and now they have a giant nanny state disgusied as social progress. All the cool countrys in europe like Finland and Switzerland are sucumbing to the pressure from the other countrys.

They are heading for a dictatorship. They have so many problems they just look down on us but refuse to examine their own problems. England acuses us of having problems but they have chavs and soccor vandals.

England's government banned movies (video nasties anyone?) Not remeber that huh. Well a decade ago britain censored the **** out of everything. So much for being tolerant to sex. They are so involved in peoples lives in a negative way that soon everything will be so regulated they might not have freedom anymore. Its like if you live in Europe you have to subscribe to a sterotypical politcal mantra. Englandis too poltically correct and Germany bans alot of media.Its like the solution to their problems is to either ignore it or throw useless feel good legislation at it.

Trust me, Finland has not been very keen on EU ever since we joined.. However, we seem to keep supporting it.. Maybe we just feel the need prove ourselves to the rest of the world by being part of something bigger, since Finland is a small and irrevelant country. They might aswell have the German Chancellor and the French President walk into the finnish parlament and yell: Gotcha! Thank god we atleast have been smart enough to stay out of NATO.. But I have feeling that if Sweden joins, it wont be long until Finland will too. Now, as for the whole elitetism.. I suppose it feels easier to mock the country that is number 1 in many areas but not in all. So some people feel the need to strike against those weak areas. However, each country has its own problems and should indeed remember that. As for the direction the EU is headed.. Dictatorship? Where did you pull that one off?J-link

Not so much a dictatorship like V for Vendetta. Just a very maternalistic government towards its citizens. Just think very strict and interfearing with peoples lives. Like a limit to how many cars you can buy, Censorship on media.

as someone with absolutely no religious bone in my body i still cant see how people could find christmas offensive, "winterland" WTF!

and the EU to me just seems like a huge gateway for eastern europeans to flood our country - i live in town of 70,000 people, and we have 2 polish shops in the high street (not pledge either)
