If that's the case I suppose if someone came up to you in a dark alley with a gun you'd just let him kill you?

How can I play ping pong when I'm dead?...:( Also won't be able to see the conclusion of a few interesting things in life when I'm dead like anime or video games...

We are going to die eventually but people want to do other stuff before they die, consequently we fight disease, and with good reason. A few centuries ago the average live expectancy was only 35. If you knew that, what would you do? Try to live longer or just die at 35?

Because species that fight to survive are more likely to pass on their genes that encouraged such behavior.

[QUOTE="poptart"]

The want to perpetuate life is pretty important, otherwise the the human race would have gone the way of the Panda before we'd even learnt to wipe our arses (or maybe make a flint axe or summat - I'm no expert and don't know which came first).

Gone the way of the panda? O.o

Y'know, just disinterested in procreating. Thought it was a better analagy than some animals extinction caused by catastrophe/environment or climate change. Pandas just got bored of spending all day chewing bamboo which has little more nutritional value than air, so they thought f*** it let's just go extinct. At least that's my scientific analysis anyway.
