[QUOTE="chrisrooR"]Well, as a Canadian, I find myself saying "sorry" way too much to people. :(andyboiiido you pronounce it like they do in degrassi? example: most canadians pronounce sorry like sore-y Nah, it's more sore-ee. You know, we don't say a-boot either, we say a-bout like normal people. :|
Sorry guys but I hate Canada! At first it was just a joke but I went to Vancover last year and it sucked!!! Everything is so damn expensive!! I spent more money there then in Vegas!!!! It was pretty but I'll stay in America next time!Djdiddles77i stopped reading at your first sentance. You have no valid proof to support it. Your other sentances are of course non sense.
I've been to Canada when I was a 9 years old; and they were the nicest people that O have ever met, nicer than most people that I have met in America and I have never experinced that niceness ever again. I'm thinking about going back again when I get enough money. Canada is coolDazedDarknessYou're officially awesome. It won't let me upload my certificate of awesomeness though. The answer to your question is because they've never been to Canada.
Never been to Canda, don't want to. Would not say I hate them but Canda just looks like a bad place to live/visit. To cold for my standards, unless I am mistaken about temperatures there.TheColbertIt can get cold where I live (Manitoba), but it also gets very warm in the summer.
[QUOTE="Raged-wolverine"]people hate us because we're better than them :Pflamesrule12Also true. Very true

Actually I take it back about it being a bad place to live. We all have our own opinions eh?

Yeah, personally I wouldn't move to the States because up here we don't have to pay to go to the hospital and that medical stuff.
b/c they drink milk in bags :xRenegade_FuryI wasn't aware I drink milk from a bag..... I drink it like everyone else. Pour it into the glass from the jug. Or is this some kind of inside joke?
- No real culture. We define ourselves by pointing out how we're different from Americans.
- Over-emphasis on the "rights of the individual" for the last couple of generations has led to too many people developing an over-inflated sense of entitlement. Leads people to ignore societal rules and niceties and then try to rationalize their behaviour by blaming some external factor. Can't believe the number of slack-jawed idiots in this country who think getting stoned just prior to (or even at) work who seem to think that such behaviour is somehow a statement against corporate greed. If you dare call them on it, somehow you're an a-hole, facist, etc. The same mentality applies to those in business. Individuals and corporations seem to think SOP is to screw over the customer and only right things if the customer complains loudly and long enough.bogaty
I think you will get flamed for that.D:
I would like to think people would look that the very first section of our Charter of Rights, where our rights are subject to reasonable limits. But hey, I guess people don't really give a damn.

Everyone loves Canada.
Everyone except the people of South Park :P. They're always made fun of by them.We don't have to pay for things as simple as doctor visits. I know a great deal of Americans don't either because of coverage through work, but in Canada the various levels of government cover around 70% of medical costs. The other 30% is usually covered through their employer's health coverage. Basically, we just pay for prescriptions, as well as dentistry and optometry, and to some degree it's usually covered by work-related coverage.canadas allright, but why are they always bragging about their health system? thats all i ever hear about from the canadians i chat with.

The Canadian health care system has it's good and bad points when compared to the system used in the US. On one side most of it is free, you can break your leg, get shot, have a baby, or die and not be handed a bill when you leave the hospital. For the most part people here don't worry about medial coverage and certainly don't go in to debt from medical expenses. On the other side the health care system is very sick in some parts of the country. Where I am there is an extreme shortage of doctors. Last year my town got two new family doctors and they had people phone in to put their name on a list to be one of the 4000 people these two doctors would be taking on. If you don't have a family doctor you have to go to the hospital for everything and generally wait up to three hours to be seen by anyone. This isn't the case everywhere but from what I hear there is a doctor shortage in many places across the country. Probably because US private health care pays it's doctors a lot more.canadas allright, but why are they always bragging about their health system? thats all i ever hear about from the canadians i chat with.

Some Canadians ruin Canada by being jerks and saying how they're the greatest. Trust me, I've seen some smug Canucks in various places.CRS98
Same thing with some Americans. Only in larger amounts of people;)
I think everybody actually likes Canada.
Canada is like that friend you have that no one dislikes, and everyone loves...he is just impossible to hate. And, like friends do, you give him a hard time and he takes it all in stride cuz deep down he A.) knows you dont mean it, and B.) knows whatever you say about him thats bad isnt true.
I love Canadians, and I wish someday to visit Canada where I will eat poutine!
- No real culture. We define ourselves by pointing out how we're different from Americans.- It's bloody cold!bogaty
The difference between America and Canada is in America, you are expected to be an American first and foremost. In Canada, you are not obligated. You may be whatever your culture is, express your views and opinions freely, and know that you will not be discriminated against because of your culture or ethnicity. Your culture first and being Canadian second.
And it's not that cold. Most places in Canada have mild winters but it's usually the prairies and northern areas that are very cold in the winter.
