I'm not sure you noticed but you are comparing 2 different things. You are comparing someone having an affair(cheating) to someone having as much sex as possible(not necesserily cheating). It makes no sense. If someone cheats, guy or girl they get looked down upon.
 That was good.
Because most slutty chicks seem to do it for attention because they have zero personality and life skills. Let's face it, if a guy walks up to a girl and says "**** me" he's probably going to get a slap in the face. A woman in the same scenario is probably going to end up walking funny the next day.

The same could be said for many promiscuous guys.
[QUOTE="toast_burner"]Because a lot of people are sexist.
ghoklebutter
Way to misimply that word, sexism is more of the lines that "men should not be nurses, it is a girl thing." And I dont think just because something is technically sexist, that it is automatically bad. Men and women are different, DEAL WITH IT.
Have sex with as many girls as possible, then when girls have like one known affair with someone they arent dating they are called a slut or a whore or worse? All of these boys and girls hive them hell for it. What happens to the boys who do this? They get cooler? Get called a "player" or something that isnt nearly as bad or is actually good in some peoples' eyes. All of these boys call the "sluts" all of these names like they are actually mad. If all girls were scared to have sex with boys in high school because of what happens to some people then the guys would have no one to have sex with and that would definitely NOT make them happy.GoogleMeBabyA single key that opens all locks is called a Master Key A single lock that is opened by every key is a pretty crappy lock
[QUOTE="October_Tide"] That was good. wow what the hell I literally just wrote that out haha

You sure about that? It's due to the same double standards that allow women to behave a certain way that men get shamed for. Besides the female body is like a sacred temple, you wouldn't allow just any dirty peasant to step foot in sacred place. The male body on the other hand is just a tool. It's meant for harsh physical labor not to be admired.
TL;DR:
Female body
Male body

That's just a terrible argument. Sexism exists and always has, therefore it's alright? Give me a break. Sexism isn't inevitable. Sexism doesn't have to exist. The fact that it exists means we should point it out and not be ok with it when we see it, not throw up our hands and say oh well, that's life. It's ridiculous that we as a society high five guys for sleeping around and berate women for doing the same damn thing and it's even more ridiculous that so many people are trying to justify it.
N30F3N1X
That's just a terrible argument aswell.
Your opinion =/= everyone else's opinion.
So you're defending the concept of sexism? Sexism is inherently unfair, discriminatory, and limiting. You can argue that those are good things, but I can't imagine how or why you'd ever make that argument. An opinion has to be justified, and I think you'd have a damn hard time justifying that one.

The idea of people using that as a serious argument is even less believable.

He's a moral relativist, just so you know.Ok, that's a position I can actually understand. Moral relativism is something I can agree with in principle, but could never carry out in practice. Defending sexism from a position of moral subjectivity is not something I'm going to argue with.

When I say justified, I mean: do you consider it morally correct or commendable to label a woman a 'slut' for having sex? I am not asking if there are, in fact, double standards. I know there are. I am not asking if there should be laws to protect or do away with standards.[QUOTE="Abbeten"]
[QUOTE="leviathan91"] Again, there are differences between men and women and there are certain expectations and norms that come with being a man or a woman. leviathan91
As for the ease with which people can have sex, let me grant your assumption. Let's say I agree that women can have sex more easily than men can. Would this make it worse for a woman to have sex than for a man? Why? Does this same rule apply to different members of the same sex? If it's really easy for a charming guy who works out a bunch to have sex, and really hard for an obese dude with little to no social graces, should we look down on the charming guy for having more sex than the other guy? Why? Why would these rules not apply for things outside of sex?
If a man did it with everything that moved, from a fugly teacher to some mentally retarded chick, I'd consider him a manwhore simply because he has no standard or integrity. If it makes you feel any better, no, I don't think it's right to label a woman a "slut" for having sex but that usually depends on the type of woman we're dealing with. Not all men and women are the same. All have different stories, we all have different expectations and standards of what we want, and we all have mistakes. Again, that depends on the person regardless of gender.
As for the ease of having sex, it was to answer the TC's topic. Men put more effort in achieving what they want where as women don't but, again, that's not always the case. Sometimes women work their asses off (no that's now what I mean, really) to make a guy like her. I know, because I've seen it firsthand. As for that charming guy, most men would certainly envy him where as some don't. Again, that depends.
But there's cultural context to consider. For one, 'manwhore' is generally considered joking, or a good thing. A manwhore is also a pimp. A player. A baller. Someone in this thread used the word 'Casanova.' Guys WANT to be that guy. It's a badge of honor. Not so with a 'slut.' That is a pejorative. A slur. No one (outside of a small group of feminists doggedly trying to reclaim that word) wants to be called or considered a slut. A slut is inferior. A slut is debased. With that term comes judgment and stigmatization, and though dudes on the internet love to laugh and tell girls to suck it up and get over it, it's not that easy. Being ostracized never is. We would never tell a black kid who was being bullied for eating chicken to suck it up, or get over it. Why do we care so little about women who choose to exercise sexuality and are punished for it? You say that you don't think it's right to label a woman a 'slut,' but then you include caveats. It apparently 'depends on the type of woman we are dealing with.' Can explain that? Can you tell me when it becomes okay to ostracize a woman and call her a slut? Why does this vary from person to person? And going back to my question before, why would the ease with which a person has sex influence whether or not a person should be condemned and labeled for having sex? People seem to think this argument is self evident, but it really isn't.[QUOTE="Barbariser"]It isn't a joke, its a spot on analogy.I can't believe that people are still making that sh!tty lock and key joke.

No, it is definitely a joke, just not necessarily the same type of joke as the second part of your comment.

No, I'm not defending the concept of sexism. I find that notion ridiculous although reminding my classmates that they're women every time they do something wrong is one of my favorite pasttimes. I'm arguing that other views exist, and whining about what everyone should do in your opinion is not a good way to go.

Okay. Indulge me. What makes the man the key, and the woman the lock? Why could these roles not be switched from a moral perspective, disregarding trivial phallic analogues? It isn't a joke, its a spot on analogy.[QUOTE="Mozelleple112"][QUOTE="Barbariser"]

oh wait didn't read the username before responding stupid of meAbbetenDon't ask stupid questions then if it gets used alot it will open up and look like ground beef. No grip is that easy for you to understand now if your packing maybe you won't notice as much but it will still look ugy vs the brand new to slightly used one. It will also not feel as good kind of like when a woman has a child it is not the same any more. This also is common sense a whore is more likely to have a std as well and not understand where she got it from or who her baby's father is.
