Or perhaps people just don't like the attitude of "America>everywhere else..."

Okay guys first of all I am American and absolutely love this country.Hulkness
That has something to do with it. Super patriotism.
Also the US knows NOTHING of the rest of the world, plus they make lots of bad decisions politically, and dont really have courtesey for other people, and believe they are indefinatly the best at everything that has ever been done
[QUOTE="Whicker89"]Because I constantly hear americans claiming their country to "The Best country in the world!" that and "if we wanted to we could blow your country apart". A great deal of also believe the world revolves around America.KG86
Also they claim they are the only free country in the world.
holy crap, i tried but couldnt say it better myself

Right, all countries hate freedom and want to be oppressed. Here in England we are so very oppressed so we decide to hate Americas freedom! Iraq hates America because they are free! Not because they are invading their country! What part of "it's wrong" don't you understand? Nevermind. Not even going to bother with the troll.

Yes and people don't hate us for oh I don't know the state of Iran, supporting every major dictator.. Supporting certain terrorist groups for our own ends.. I think "hating us for our freedoms" is very low on the list, I also think you are insulting the peopels intelligence.
A lovely example of so called foriegn policy.. During the late 50s and 60s we were pretty tight with Iran and the democratically elected president there.. The president during his term though basically gave the finger to the US because he felt the country was being exploited for their oil for a far less price.. The CIA conviently overthrew him 3 days later witht eh help of Iranian extremists, to then put the Dictator Shah into power.. Which lead to the current one we have today.. This is just a small piece of evidence why many hate us... Suggest you read the 87 reasons list, its quite a good read for the numerous things they have.
And no nations hate us because we declare war while completely ignoring the UN.. The iraq war was a direct violation.. In UN rules it has always been stated that war is a act of defense, not pre-emptive strike.

Forgive and forget? Are you kidding me? All factions play a role but no where near as large as the US.. And the US still claims to be teh guiding ray of light for good.. Face it there are some legitimate reasons why many hate us.. And it has NOTHING To do with being "jealous".. This I think its the most stupid, oversimplfiied thing ever to come out of Bush's mouth. And is a direct cover up for the real things we have done that has hurt alot of people..
Another great one is our unswerving support of Israel.. Even though most countries don't support them any more for their tactics.. My personal favorite is the Hezzoballah one where Israel in their genious killed more innocents then they ever did the enemy.. And their excuse? Because their enemy is using under handed tactics.. In the end every people regardless of religion in that region went from being against Hezz to full on supporting them.. Due to Israels pretty carelessness in their tactics about innocent lives outside their country.. The list goes on, I think its incrediably laughable people hate us for our freedoms..

Governments play the shell game all the time with the people within the nation. Make somone despise someone else and it'll take their mind off of the inneffectivenes of said government. US presidents do it, as do every other nation's leaders. Jealousy over wealth and affluence is the easiest target when one's people is going hungry.

.........Huh what who? Where in my text did I say the US is evil.. I live in the US, but I do understand the government has done many terrible things.. It makes it even more rediculous that people are "jealous" for our freedoms. But when the leaders of our nation start calling other nations "evil" it starts going too far.. Lets not forget that we have supported our fair share of terrorists through the years to help kill people we don't like, many innocents included. So all I am saying is there is many justifiable reasons why people hate the US, things that far far outweigh even the mere mention of "hating us for our freedom".
