mainly because a team scores in basketball 40-50 times a game while in soccer you score maybe once or twice. And you know, when he says "its harder to make a basket than a goal", it could come off as in scoring.

This happened just about a month ago, and this was last year. Both in Columbus, oddly enough.
Football (called Soccer by Americans) is a far more interesting sport. Its non stop, there are no commercials, only a half time break. It is easy to play so children in poor countries can play it cause they don't need gear, just a ball. It shows real skill also. American football is pretty boring. The clock is only 60 minutes? but the game takes 3 hours... and its commercial, and then timeout and then commerical... Seriously what a sell out...
low scores really is the worst argument against a sport. The fact that there are usually only a few goals per game makes every goal game-changing and vitaly important, and thus more special. The game has an unrivalled flow with usually only 4-5 minutes of stoppage time during play in a 90 minute match. People don't watch football (soccer) just to see goals. I'd rather watch a 0-0 football match than a 98-100 basketball match.
Uh.. It's the best sport in the world. Sure the football players are wussys but they sure are skilled. Back in the olden days football players were not soft, George Best anyone? Cantona? Cantona was an amazing player and he was tough, remember the kung fu kick? :lol:

I went yesterday to watch that soccer match with Barcelona and the whole game there was tons of injuries and nobody scored ? The final was 0 to 0 ?? I'm not saying Soccer is a bad sport or the greates but that was boring as heck. I mean to watch hours of play and no one wins ? The game needs new rules.
