Never once have I taken an oath or done anything for the queen, I'm not a subject and neither are any other canadians.It's something that was around back when we were part of the commonwealth and the commonwealth actually did stuff (around the same time we burned your white house to the ground).Meanwhile, I like being able to proudly display my countries flag when traveling anywhere in the world. Americans can't say the same thing. I know tons of Americans (do business with many on a daily basis) and most are pretty cool. It's just a shame about your government.

The USA is a very diverse country. There are regions where you could live which would be very similar to everday life in Canada, and regions which would be a huge culture shock.

A merger of the two countries will never happen. They may form some union like the EU for better poltical and economic power, but the governments will always remain separate.

I think in the future there will be less countries.....so I believe it will one day happen...just like Europe will be one country. I'm not talking about in our lifetime, however.

Honestly I like Canada lot better as it is now then if it where a part of the States. No offence meant to Americans you guys are cool I just like the food a lot better over here then when I go down South. But Honestly where would either of our countries be without one another. I just read on Yahoo news that it is possible for one day forCanada to virtually be taken over by United States. I think that would be cool. I do love living in Canada but I really love America. There would also be no more of that stupid passport stuff. I wouldn't have any problems with that happening. Does anyone think that would ever happen?
