Dude Canada is already part of the America.
Proof! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29g57XTYgLE&mode=related&search= :P
Here's the deal. You guys can have Quebec.
In fact, you won't even have to invade. I am officially GIVING you Quebec. Enjoy.
Zeke129
Hey hey hey...we don't want Quebec either. We weren't even going to annex Quebec after we invaded.
[QUOTE="mjk_1"][QUOTE="Aznsilvrboy"][QUOTE="mjk_1"][QUOTE="GettingTired"]That would be bad actually. A majority of Canadians are snobs. This thread is a good example. Pretty much like the French.UrbanSpartan125
Atleast we're not the #1 contributer to global warming... Anyway, there is a line called the border, stay on your side, PLEASE,& we will stay on ours, for the most part (travelling & whatnot).
You basically just admitted that we're snobs.
lol, I know but I get a little sensitive when Americans want to take over our country.
Your pathetic country is not worth invadingHahahahahahahaha oh my god I've never laughed so hard at a post on the internet in my life. That was sarcasm right? Do you have any idea what our natural resources are worth?
I think the Canadians constantly eggsagerate how different they are to us. I mean it's like they do that just to look different and not be part of the highly-bashed country so they say this stuff like "we're not like them, so don't start hating us too". It's rather annoying.camreeno360
It's true, we're nothing like you. Canada is a vast country, only Southern Ontario is similar to mainstream US culture.

You do know what happened to the last country that boasted about its natural resources to us, right? I get the feeling that it won't be long until we find out that Canada has obtained WMDs...
It would be bad if the people thought it was bad. If it was well received, it would be a good thing because people are happy. And if people are happy, only good things can come from that.
But, noone would like the idea, so it would be a mostly bad decision. The US economy is very strong though in that is able to handle such large tragedies, such as 9/11. So i know the US economy could handle it. Not so sure about Canada, they could bring our economy down.
And what type of government would be have? Capitalistic government i guess.

It would work perfectly! Canada is only 20% french and the rest is english (for the americans that dont know that) We all speak the same language with the same accents....no we do not say EH unless we want to get our asses kiked ;). We would be the most feard country in the world and no other country could ever stand up to us.
Personally i wouldnt mind the name
United States of Canada
However every single country in the world would disagree to this because they would have no power in the world. Canada and america are basically the same countries with some minor diffrences. Canada has an awsome navy fleet and america has the most feard army in the world. ONE DAY It will happen....we should just leave quebec behind and let them be there own country and join the states. That means we would have no french and 335 million people

First, that name would NEVER work out. EVAR. It would make it seem like the States are part of Canada, and Americans would not be happy over that.

Another thing. Why do you constantly use the word "melting pot" as derogatory? And different accents? Yeah, about as different as a blue house and a house that's blue...You pronounce your vowels a little different, that's it. You're exaggerating. Have you been outside of BC at all? I've been to Quebec, PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario (my residence) and Canadians in general (even of Caucasian descent), speak with very different accents. With regards to my ethnic background, yes I'm an "easterner", but I speak English as good as the rest of you "Westerners" because I was raised here since a young age and no less "Canadian" than you.

I don't think we press white culture on anybody. Where did you guys get that idea? But America does have sort of the norm to ensure someone gets integrated into society before letting them go. If we look at countries like Germany for example, only one in three immigrant kids has German friends. So just letting someone in so matter what really has some separating effects. If that's what you were thinking of. I personally prefer the melting pot to the salad bowl approach.[QUOTE="Aznsilvrboy"][QUOTE="camreeno360"]Another thing. With only 20% of Canadians being of English descent, and our society lenient towards immigrant's integration into mainstream Canadian society (we dont push them), and the way our society/country is structured. I still argue that Canada != America Jr.
America is a melting pot, Canada is a salad bowl. (assimilation vs multiculturalism), yes out government actually promotes multiculturalism.
