This topic is locked from further discussion.
SO WHAt you sugest me to do;;
\
for ram;; to buy 4 giga ddr2;; or less;;
to buy 2 8800 gts 512;
780 sli;; to buy;
and for 9450;; if i buy it will be ok ; and with 4 giga ram ddr2; and 2 8800 gts 512 ;;
with all these things will i play all the games for 3 years from now;;
and one more thing if i buy 2 8800 gts 512 will play all the games in full with my 9450 for 3 years from now;;
can you help me please;
what to do;
i will buy in somedays please;;
1.Yes
2. Yes
3. You will be alright with the 9450 but why pay so much and hard to get. And will be slower than a 8400 Unless you overclock the 9450, but for the future we dont know, right now and a year or more down the road a faster dual core will out do a slower quad with gaming.
now i made my decesion
i will go to buy 4 giga ddr2
780 sli
9800 gtx
but the last thing i want to ask before i buy the processor is
if i buy qx9450 or buy 8400;;
will i see big diference in games;;
this is my last question and i the topic will be closed ..
9450 or 8400;;
will i see big diference in pc games;
please;;
are there benchmarks for qx9450 and 8400 for pc games;
XARIS19
YOU ARE NOT GETTING THIS THOURGH YOUR THICK HEAD ARE YOU? THE 9800GTX is the 8800GTS 512mb(g92) WHY WASTE YOUR MONEY SPEND AN EXTRA $100 MORE THAN YOU HAVE TOO FOR 1-2 FPS MORE????? THEY ARE THE SAME!!!!!!
Why do you think in every benchmark that was promoting the 9800GTX didnt have the 8800GTS in it?? They had the 8800GT and others besides the 8800GTS hmmm... because they are the same. Now About the cpu if you are going to overclock go ahead with the q9450. If your not going to overclock get the 8400 because it has a higher coreclock.
q9450- 2.66ghz vs 8400-3.00ghz the higher clock rate will out perform the other even thou its a quad. Games again like I said before are just now starting to recomending low ended dual cores(1.8-2.0 ghz) Later down the road 2-3 years quads or what ever might shine. But how long has it taken games to start using dual core tech since been out awhile... at least 4 years and they are still programing games to use single core cpus. Im done now :P
no its no fake\\
this is my last question and the the topic is will close ok;;

if i buy tommorow 8400 and 8800 gts 512 will i play all the games for 3 years with the 8400;;

Nobody knows whether something is going to last you 3 years.However it will last quite a while that's for sure and wont get obsolete in a year.That's it there is NO definite answer to that question.
Dont get the E8400.Get the Q6600.No offence to the guy who recommended the E8400 but seriously forget about it and get the Q6600.It WILL last longer than E8400 and I think nobody can dispute that.
GET THE Q6600 AND 8800GTS 512MB.IT WILL LAST YOU AS LONG AS CURRENT TECHNOLOGY CAN.REST ASSURED YOU WILL BE GAMING FOR A LONG TIME.
/thread.
Ok.... now The Q6600 will perform better when games start to use all four cores. But for right now and a year or more down the road a 8400-3Ghz will outperform a stock Q6600 -2.4Ghz.To me a 8400 would better choice if your not going to overclock. Ethier one will do fine and which one you choose with the 8800GTS you will have a great gaming Pc.
i will go to buy tomorrow 8400 or 6600
if i buy 8400 will i play all the games for 3 years;;
the most people what they buy 8400 or 6600;;
ureal 3 when it comes will play with 8400;;
i see a lot of peole that they say 6600 is better why ;;
can you tell me what to do;
\i want something that wil last me 3 years from now please;;
what to do tommorow;
and if i buy 8400 and in 1 years come 4 cores games what i will do;;

1. Ethier one will do, The higher clocked 8400 will do better than stock Q6600 til quads are fully supported
2. No body doesnt know if any cpu with last that long on high settings:( , As long as single core cpus have been out and old they are still supporting them so I would say a good dual/quad core will last at least two years.
3. It depends what you do or need on a cpu.
4. Ureal 3 doesnt need a great cpu it will run fine on good single core cpu just fine.
5. People say the q6600 because its quad core and can overclock very good.
5. Even if which I highly doubt you will need a quad cpu for at least 2 years for gaming they are just starting to recomending low end dual core cpus. With ethier a 8400/Q6600 with a 8800GTS will be able to game for 2 years on high settings after that no one really knows. And when you cant play, upgrade again a part at a time.
I recommend that the mods close this thread.

These questions have been answered already in this thread.
Go back and read, and stop asking the same questions over and over again.
why the people from my country are stupid
they say that 8400 will not last longer for 2 years from now;;
they say that will come games in 2009 and 2010 for quade cores
they are stupid
they say when nehalem comes or when we will see 8 cores they will come games in one year for 4 cores and 8 cores
i dont beleive what they say\
what is your opinion;;
i will buy 8400 i think no quad better 8400 i think
A 8400 will be good enough because i dont think any game will beat Crysis on the graphics department for atleast another year. My Pc can run Crysis on Very high settings @ 1280x1024 with average fps of 40-45 so. Your Pc will be better than mine.
My Pc:
Athlon X2 6000+(3Ghz)
2Gb DDR2 800mhz
XFX Geforce 8800GT EE 512mb

They sure are, games are out now for Quad core. Alan Wake will be the big one for the Quad CPU. Dual core will run on reduced settings. They are using a whole core for Physics wow. Another core to stream in the game so you will never have to wait for it to load the next part, all seamless. Then another core for the main game and another for the sound maybe. I think that is what they said about it. You can see they will have to squash it down to fit on a dual core result is reduced settings.

Anyways your claim lost credibility when you said that one core will be for sound.
Eh dual core will run reduced settings?
Anyways your claim lost credibility when you said that one core will be for sound.
Spybot_9
Yes because you only have 2 cores with 4 cores you can split the task with 2 cores some of the tasks will be shared by a core. You can't have a whole core used for physics on a dual core with Alan Wake, you can with a Quad. Take a look at the youtube video. Maybe they will have the dual core will be reduced settings on the Physics engine whereas the Quad will have that setting on high the dual on medium or low settings. On the Quad they use a whole core for streaming in the game seemlessly. On a dual core this is going to have to be shared with some other task. Resulting in reduced settings. The Quad can afford to put the other tasks such as sound on another core. It's up to you what you buy. That is your choice but don't bash the Quad cores. Simply put 4 is better than 2 as you can see from that benchmark.

First of all do you even know that sound processing doesnt even take 1% of CPU power.:?And how do you know that alan wake wont be GPU bottlenecked.How do you know that a dual core cannot run it's maximum physics settings when a dual core EASILY runs crysis very high physics and particle effects simultaneously??
And FYI a quad core DOES NOT run higher settings than dual core in lost planet cuz the game is so GPU bottlenecked.The benchmark you have posted is running low settings.
First of all do you even know that sound processing doesnt even take 1% of CPU power.:?Are you sure on the less than 1% CPU usage? Is that with onboard sound or with sound card? Double check for me and proof post your claims.Spybot_9
And how do you know that alan wake wont be GPU bottlenecked.How do you know that a dual core cannot run it's maximum physics settings when a dual core EASILY runs crysis very high physics and particle effects simultaneously??So you are assuming things? How do I know because I have been told so by the makers. Quad core is what will run the game best. Dual core will be running on reduced settings. Crysis is a different kettle of fish to Alan Wake take a look at the Youtube video you don't understand the game engine at all. It is seemless no loading on of levels they stream in with the use of a whole core. Another whole core is used for Physics. You are all out of cores with a dual. They will have to be on the same core thus half the processing power.Spybot_9

The tests were run in 1024x768 resolution, without FSAA. The image quality settings were left at defaults not low.
Q9450 > E8400 it is simple as that. You can't recommend the E8400 over the Q9450 other than the lower price of the E8400 if you are on a lower budget.
so what to do tomorrow;;
to buy 8400 or 6600;;
i am new in overclocking and i dont know how to overclock is there any site for new overclockers;; please;
so if i buy q6600 and not overclock will it play the games like 8400;;
tommorow i will buy 8400 or 6600;;
what to do guys;
to buy 8400; which is 3 hz or 6600 which is 2.6
2.4 with 3 hz is big distance am i right;;

What happend to the Q9450 plans? I've seen them for £200 I think that is a good deal.
Think of it this way. It is 4x2.66Ghz processor cores(Q9450) or 2x3Ghz processor cores (E8400) or the 4x2.4Ghz processor cores (Q6600)
2.66 x 4 and 8400 is 3hz x 2
so which is better ;;;
so if i buy qx9450 and not overclock how the games will play;; like 8400 which is 3hz ;;
better or the same;;;
XARIS19
Q9450 no X in it, It perform 5FPS better in Crysis with a 8800GT card @ 1024x768 no AA than a Q6600. Just 1 FPS better at 1280x1024. If you use a high resolution and AA then the difference between those 3 CPU would be virtual zero. Myself if I was buying right now I would get the Q9450 but that is me. A dual may be good for you but I like to run a gaming server and play at the same time on it. Quad's are great for that. It is up to you want you buy at the end of the day. Any of those would do. If you are on budget by all means get the dual core but if you have enough money to splash you may as well get the Q9450. It is at a good price. If you are using your computer for more than just gaming then Quad core is what you should buy. Don't let anyone say the dual core is a better CPU because it is not.
