Yep, without the Origin overlay and lower FoV it works perfectly fine on ultra, might actually play some rounds on the B2K maps sooner or later.DanielDustVIIIICCCTTTOOOORRRRY!! :D Have fun :)

The only thing I really agree with the whiners is the lack of VoiP and squad communication functions. I even miss the commander.
Yes I completely agree. The lack of VoIP disappoints me. Everyone I talk to says the exact same thing. You think they would listen to their fans and consumers. Why they don't implement this feature annoys me.[QUOTE="AdamPA1006"]Downloading now, will hopefully have time to try it out tonight. All I want is improved performance and hit detection/lagultrapcThat hasn't been fixed , I played on servers where my ping was less than 30 and the hit detection still sucked . ffs. no reason to play again, then.
It's too early for me to make judgements on the balance at the moment. I will say I thought the balance pre patch was perfectly acceptable. Making the tanks weaker will do a few things for the action. Tanks will be slower creeping forward, stay out of highly trafficked infantry areas and be more cautious. They will probably focus more on tanks since they are quick to take down, slower repair now. From the bits I played, people treated tanks as normal, they would go into placecs like the forrest or hilltop on caspian and be disabled very very quickly. Then they would jump out and run away as the tank burned.
Stinger is shortish range but hits choppers well, even after they deploy ECM and sometimes flares... Although if they are low in the sky the stealth thing seems to work really well. Pretty much impossible to hit jets with it though, they move out of range so quickly.
Suppression is a big change, a lot more of it now. So in a 1 v 1 mid range battle it is going to last longer as both players are suppressed and missing each other. Probably not going to be great for TDM, more people will use the SQD cover perk though, virtually no reason to use that before.
About the only changes I can say that is good is the squad command binded to commo rose, not quick spot button (spot a guy near a flag and you give orders previously) and the mini map you can now pick sattelite view. The rest are just changes that I don't think were necessary but people will need to adapt to.

Thankfully there are always the stalwart faithful fans who are there to lick the developers' buttholes and tell them how flawless their games are. It all usually balances out.
Just try it earlier...tanksprojectiles do the same damage...only that they are easy targets now they blow up so quickly...heli's and jets also...
But i dont know...for some reason...the game is boring...they didnt patched that out :D

So, anti-air has been nerfed and tanks are even more useless?
Not gonna bother reinstalling the game to check it out. I'm already angry just reading about it.

I'm hearing a lot of mixed things.
Apparently the tanks just play differently now and the anti-air is a bit more difficult to use, but apparently a lot of the whining comes from people who do nothing but tank or fly.
I wouldn't just skip it because of what some whiners are flooding the forum with.
I'll skip it because the game infuriates me for no good reason and I doubt this patch will change that.
Yeah, DICE goes ahead and improves the graphics, audio, physics, overhauls the attachment system and movement all in one patch and then they do something completely inexplicable like increasing the effectiveness of suppression  I know what you mean, things like situations where the player feels helpless, and really that comes from design issues, and will probably remain in some form, however you can't let the few times you get frustrated ruin your entire gaming experience. The game overall controls much better and the netcode has improved significantly, I think there's less "BS" situations in 1.04 than what we saw with 1.03.Confirmed: Next Battlefield having a monthly-fee[QUOTE="Lox_Cropek"]

The new way suppression works has pretty much ruined the game for me. If anyone shoots you within 10 meters, then your suppressed, which will in turn screw up your accuracy and recoil. Im under suppressed fire about 95% of the time now.
Also Tanks are coffins on wheels now. 1 Jav = roughly 80% damage. 2 RPGs = DEAD.
Heat seekers are broken, which is a bug AFAIK but it makes maps with lots of air vehicles impossible to play on.
Battlefield 3 has some strange voodoo over my computer. The day it released my GPU's fan died. Today when the big patch released windows completely broke during updates, forcing me to reinstall it. ::cry:

I played today after the patch and the only big change I noticed was the engineer's AA. It is a bit hard to get a lock on air vehicles. Doesn't bother me much though.ForsakenWickedAA has about a 10 meter range now. Im pretty sure its a bug.

Like less than a second, faster. In the tenths.

The game isn't "infantry focused" but rather for most maps now it's about treating vehicles as valuable assets that are there to support the infantry in a way that makes sense for a multiplayer combined arms FPS.

It seems that the heavy barrel is generally preferable on most weapons in the long run for the G3A3, AN-94, M16, L85A2, and Scar-H although if you're "middle of the road" gun skill wise flash suppressor will be better, on air maps regardless of your aiming ability you want the heavy barrel since it increases the distance for minimum damage by 50% which means at close-mid range you'll be doing more damage with the heavy barrel(and it's the only tertiary attachment that increases aimed accuracy) while your bullets will also fire faster meaning you don't have to lead targets as much.like you input Zubiuien, the fact that grip now reduced aimed accuracy makes it a unwanted attachement for mah AG3, will go for holosight, bipod and flashsuppressor then :D

I feel that I am quite good with the AN94, but struggle with the G3A3, so I guess flash suppressor will be my best option to get the hang of my loved rifle. Used it while I was in the army, even had a 40mm for it, weighed about 3-4 kg with a full clip :D
Played some last night, had a lot of fun. I love the new suppression mechanics, it actually works how I always thought it was supposed to be intended. I really don't know why people complain so much about this patch.
Last night I saw so many people stop when they were getting shot at and try to shoot back. That used to work before the patch and now it just gets you killed. I think that a lot of people think that them not being able to pick off people while under fire removed the "skill" from this game.
In other news the Battlelog forums have gone from bad to worse. It's kind of sad there. So many kids unable to comprehend different gameplay mechanics.

I think the patch changed a lot about the feel of the game. My shots aren't as accurate as before and I have to think and assess a bit more which I love. I think if you get good at this type of controls then you will be mowing guys down very fast. I even noticed other guys unable to hit me as good as before.
Game is far more balanced and fun to play. I also survived much longer in a jet too without constant lock on beeps

I think jets got to much of a buff and tanks to to much of a nerf, but the infantry play is solid. I had no problem with the suppression at all.
People keep saying it leeches skill out of the game, but this game has always been a "who sees who first" kind of game. Especially all of the people playing hardcore.
The commuinty doesn't know what it wants. It doesn't want the game like CoD, but they want laser accurate rifles, no recoil, no suppression, and more cheap tactics like claymores and grenade launchers. Bascially they say one thing and whine about another.
