Deus Ex is crap?! Wow...that's a first.

[QUOTE="ct1615"]

Deus Ex 2 is awesome, one of my favorite games of all time. I did not care for the first one though. I don't know what you guys are smoking about not liking Dues Ex but you are all wrong.

Deus Ex2 = Gold

Deus Ex1 = pure crap

now go to your corners and feel shame, your opinions are for fools!

=P

It isn't a first to me, but I still don't agree with what they have to say. Seems a bit like trolling if you ask me. I mean they could at least give us a good reason as to why they have that opinion other than "it's pure crap, you have foolish opinions, and I don't care for it".

Guess it would be like me going to a Half-Life thread posting how much I hate it, then sit back and watch them all freak out!

PS: Don't hate the HL series so much! Just can't see what all the hype is about!

Was thinking lately! Deus Ex IW was a major disappointment but someone said that it was the most disappointing sequel ever! Don't forget Metal Gear Solid 2, that has got to be up there too!

Deus Ex was an amazing game because all the elements it used, deus ex 2 dropped those elements, i didn't hate deus ex 2, just didn't like it as much as the first. The story was pretty bland, and it lost the philosophical theme about it that deus ex 1 had.

The things i know about deus ex 3, is that it's a prequal to the 1st, so it's going to be a new character completely, you won't be paul, for he wasn't made at the time this game is set at. You won't be JC because yet again, the time DX3 is set at. You might not even be a Denton :(

Warren Spector sadly declined to work on the game, so i meh, i doubt that any other game in the deus ex series will top the first game, people disregarded deus ex 2 because they expected such a high standard and it failed to meet what the people were looking for.

Now I don't want to say I don't believe you, but is there a link to prove what you just said. I find it hard they'll drop the Dentons are going as far back to where the Dentons don't exist for 2 reasons. The Dentons ar the backbone and centerpoint of the Deus Ex games. Pau, I beliv, was one of the first prototypes to use augmentations. By saying they are going far back there won't be Dentons, I'm assuming that there won't b augmentations either, and that's what made part of the Deus Ex gameplay so fun.

Sorry, no link, i'm just predicting here, i should of maybe said in my post that they were just predictions, but i agree with what you said, the Dentons and the augmentations made the game so fun, but in all seriousness, another Denton? I doubt it, i remember in the first scene in Deus ex 1, where Bob Page is talking to Waltor Simons (my fave character) he calls Paul the "primary" unit, meaning he's the first Denton and Deus Ex 3 is set on the date 2027, and Deus ex 1 being set in 2052? (am i right?) which is a short space for paul to grow up in enough so you can "cap some rebels, eh Denton?". But going back to what i just said, sorry, no link, just predictions.

Ah okay. No hard feelings than. :P But if I were to place Deus ex 3 I would set it in between the first one and the second and you would play as Paul hunting fo JC. I can't remember if Paul made an appearance (or possibly died) in IW (I'm gonna be honest I don't remember much of the second one). But it would be to learn about the world wide blackout that happened between the two games and see how the world was coping around with it

Ye, he makes a small appearance in the 2nd game, but you get a choice whether to kill him or save him, i saved him and then at liberty island you just see him stood around with JC (who funnily enough isn't wearing glasses, he looks weird without them) and he just protects the machine the JC invented and kills a few templars, nothing big really. And the blackout seems a cool way to play the game, but i'd miss the info-links too much, i loved all of them.

If not a Denton then maybe we will play as a Mech like Navarra or Gunther!

Other than that maybe we will play as the first Nano Augmented agent that went AWOL! I mean if that happened then obviously it would be seen as a failure and the powers that be would then call Paul Denton the primary, to pretend like nothing went wrong!

Actually now that I think of it, wasn't Walton Simons the very first Nano Aug agent??? Maybe I've got that wrong, but I think he may have been!

Got Deus Ex to work perfectly on my Dual Core system!

Run the game,

Press the windows key to bring up the desktop with Deus Ex running on the taskbar,

Press Ctrl Alt Delete and bring up the Task Manager,

In processes find Deus Ex.exe and RIGHT CLICK and select SET AFFINITY,

Turn off one of the CPU's (Just leave CPU 0 checked),

Click OK and close the Task Manager then Maximise the Deus Ex program,

Enjoy!
