I'd say DA:O and DA:2 look extremely similar graphically. Altho DA:2 has better animations and effects.

You know, I don't understand why players complain about the graphics in DAO so much. I think they had a painterly, storybook quality that lent itself very well to the fantasy setting. I felt like I was turning the pages of a big, ole, dusty, leather bound tome as I played through the game. Why the heck does everything have to be OMG SO UBER REAL I CAN SEE LIGHT REFRACTING OFF HIS PACKAGE Crysis 2 WTF??? Sigh.attirex
Yeah i agree this constant barrage of graphic related complaints in any upcoming game is getting Irksome.

Have you noticed the bad running animations on LadyHawke and the Dark Spawn? Overall, the demo was about what I expected maybe a little worse. I was able to run in both DX11 and DX9 and there is some improvement, so instead of looking average, they look a little bit above average. Gameplay wise it was similar to the first but with faster animations, not having the tactical cam is really disappointing especially for area of effect spells. The second ogre boss gave me a little trouble but was able to get by him on the 2nd or 3rd try with a fighter as my main, whereas it took about 4 times the second play through with a mage. The animations as said earlier were pretty bad in some areas. The menus and UI just look bad, no other way around it, it looks built for consoles. Voice acting was fine. Probably pick it up once it goes on sale later this year.

It annoys me to death. If a game isn't changed in some way, it's the developer's fault. If they make changes, it's their fault again. If the graphics aren't that much better, ditto. If the graphics are better, they're not THAT much better... the list goes on. That's why I see some regulars on these forums just veer away from these threads.

I played the Xbox 360 demo. I liked it a lot, even with the altered combat system. I am now downloading the PC demo to feel the differences for myself and choose which I want to purchase.
