How are you supposed to get this game when no stores has it ?

I'm in canada and I checked bestbuy, futureshop, gamestop and none of them received it... wth ?

They aren't doing a retail release. You'll have to buy it over a DD service.

The retail market for RO2 is so tiny that it costs them more to produce the retail version than they make on sales.

You have to download it dude, I pre ordered it on Steam and if you pre order the deluxe edition or whatever you get beta access. I haven't been on in like a week though so I don't even know if its still on, is it still on? Maybe I should look that up.

Oh I did not know that. I assumed they wouldn't bother. It will probably be a tiny retail release.

Since it's a Steamworks game, you are better off just buying it through Steam.

What is interesting me in this game is the multiplayer, does that mean the online community will be like 200 peoples playing it and dropping each day ?

I prefer physical myself, but is there any reason you "hate" them?

I mean, some of the best games aren't in retail (like Amnesia or Limbo). I mean, maybe not the best, but damn good.

By that time, RO2 will be long dead. I don't think you have to worry about it.

There are retail copies. I have one ordered and its being delivered Friday, got it for much lower than the Steam price.

Amazon.co.uk have it for £17.99! Can't wait for it!

25% done the pre-loading downloading, going at 2.5MB, cant wait to sink some hours into this game today

People still play Red Orchestra2 that should be your answer... these kind of games always have a nice solid community for many years (Red Orchestra, ARMA2,etc..)

Well I was going to be playing this on my dual core cpu, but thanks to the delay I should be playing it on my phenom ii x6 which should be here any minute :D

Tripwire said that they sent the final build to Steam and any additional waiting is because of valve time. :P

Play the singleplay and gets ~55 fps in ultra setting. Got only 1 crash after about 1hr or so. I must say that the A.I is really stupid. They either got stuck somewhere or just run around like crazy then you accident kill them lol. This game is a bit diffirent then other FPS (I like it) but too bad that the A.I is just not good enough to make you enjoy the singleplay game : (.

Only tried the Multiplay in Beta and must say thats crazy. You don't know who your enemy is and you can't rush into the battlefield like in COD/BF game but I think thats what make the multiplay so fun (if you don't count all the crashes and bugs ect). Actually I think this is the only game where its ok/clever to camp : D.

It does not run well at all. whether on ultra or low settings it seems to go 20-30fps on an overclocked 6950 and athlon 640.ferret-gamer

Glad I'm not the only one. I have a 6870 and a Phenom 2 965. I didn't think a game that looked this bad should run so crappily.

Strangely the game is so good I don't even care how it runs.

Actually I think this is the only game where its ok/clever to camp : D.

Hasnt crashed on me yet. Playing on ultra with a 4890 with no troubles ;)

EDIT: I take it back, just crashed on me

It's having a less than stellar launch, but I expected this.

Unlike other FPSs, this one will be played for months to come so I really don't care.

I just wish people would start using teamwork. This isn't Cod. I can tell a lot of people bought the game simply because it was a PC exclusive.
