Looks great, but I really wish Nvidia would have released the 660 first. I was hoping for a competitor to the 7850 to hopefully drop prices a little bit.

AMD will have no choice but to cut prices again. Who would buy a 7950 @ nearly the same price as a 670 or pay more for the 7970, unless they plan to use them for computing? At the same time though, Nvidia has kind of screwed themselves if the leaked benchmarks and prices on the 670 hold up come mass release. Why bother paying extra for the 680 with such close performance?

from pcpartpicker.com's price list The cheapest 7950 is an overclock (830Mhz) version i.e. $379.99 for MSI R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC.

X86 based PC runs other types of applications besides games.

Looking at these benchmarks is making it hard for me to get a 680.

Good luck. Nvidia is just releasing these to play spoiler to AMD.

had the 7xxx not been released yet nvidia would not have released the 6xx cards, they do not have enough volume.

This is almost a paper launch.

this two gtx 670 is the same model and same price but theres a difference in core clock speed? don't even know if that really makes a difference
first link has core clock speed at 1006mhz while the second one has it at 915mhz. ??
