Star Wars: The Old Republic - Megathread/Discussion [Release Day is Upon Us]

I am now stuck at deciding between which dps class to play. I am considering jedi sage, jedi sentinel, and jedi shadow. I just noticed a pattern...

I normally don't like rogues so I don't think I will be playing jedi shadow and I have never played a mage so I don't know if I will enjoy jedi sage. Which class has the best story and is most similar to an enhancement shaman?

You're right. But I played some Warzones and I did like what I saw. Also, in WoW, the best raiding guilds were on PVP servers. For some odd reason. SWTOR may or may not be like it.

They increased early access to the 13th. I personally can not believe they are taking so long to get the emails out for everyone's start date though. I woulda personally bet money that it would have been yesterday, and here it is a few hours before the official early access and people still do not know their positions.

Hmmm. I was going to wait until I make some new friends on TOR to join a guild but joining a Gamespot member's guild might be a better idea. Well, if anyone has a cool, friendly, casual and hardcore (doesn't force you to do things all the time) GUILD, then I'm game. I'm on the West Coast, Pacific time. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday are the best days for me where I could be available to do endgame stuff or pvp.

Could join my guild! =D It originated from some old L4D2 buddies that I used to always play with. Cool group of guys, so I am excited to be with them. However, we are already designated to a PvP server Eastern timezone sooooo.... up to you I imagine if you are a.) ok with the PvP server b.) fine with the time zone.

Looks like day 1 early start is a no go for me -_- Which is crazy cause i put in my code literally the hour of it becoming buy-able. IxX3xil3d0n3XxI

I am only seeing people who preordered on july 21st online right now. People who preordered on july 24th arnt even on. I have a long wait sonsidering I preordered december 11, edit: just saw someone who preordered july 21st at 8pm who is not in. They only got July 21st up to 4pm, that is the latest pre order I have seen who is online.

don't give up, I can see people preordering in september getting in today, and mid/late november tomorow.

the force is real, I am actually sick the week this game comes out. I am not able to play yet but this is entertaining.

the official early access doesn't even start until the 15th, and by the looks of it, most people will be playing by friday. That is pretty good considering they only guarantee you 1 day early access.

I want to play this game as much as anyone else, but I really do not get how people are soupset about not being in yet. If this really is the next great MMO, you are going to be playing it for months or even years. What is a couple more hours or days? Hopefully people are not just dead set on rushing to get to level cap. I think if you do that in this game, I think you are going to be missing out on a great story.

By the looks of it, they're sending out waves every hour. Keep your hopes up guys!

Agreed, People here are **** about not getting in on the first day, while I won't be able to play the game I was eagerly awaiting for almost 2 years until January at earliest. I am not complaining. Waiting a few days after waiting for almost 2 years is nothing.

It is going in order of when you entered your pre order code. It doesn't even look like they will finish July today, so if you pre ordered after July then don't get your hopes up waiting for a 5th wave.

Actually it was today teh 13th, I have two friends already playing (they preordered a long time ago)

The fact that there's only one more wave to go and most servers are on medium is pretty selfish of BioWare. I know developers do not owe us anything, but as pre-ordered and 100% one day purchase customers, we should get in at a reasonable time. It looks like everyone who pre-ordered in any time in July will get in first day. Now that leaves August, September, October, November, December (obviously). I'm guessing you can line up each month to each day. Do the math. :P

Now, if my prediction and math is correct, those who pre-ordered in December will get in on the last day - if you're lucky 2nd to last day. :P

I don't mind waiting. I hope Bioware doesn't give in to all the hate on the Official forums. Nothing or no one is perfect. I have good faith in Bioware. :)
