Early access starts on the 24th/August, no down time between early access and launch

Here is the page for the client download for the open beta. The page is in Japanese, but just click the read button to download, launcher is in english, use Chrome to translate page if you want. 

This link is for the benchmark. You can also create your character using this download. You will be able to save your character settings and upload them come release. The character you make also stars in the benchmark video. 

I'm pretty stoked about launch, but getting tired of themeparks. I'll have to see how it plays out. Might quit for Everquest Next or one of the other 10 MMOs coming out by the end of the year.

I heard peoplewho bought the collectors edition of the original back in 2010,which I did, get access early to the actual game.  Is that true and if so will the client be added to my SE profile?  My lap top doesn't have a disc drive so I have to use the client to download the game.

So people with the original can download the client and people with the collectors edition of the original still get the ARR collectors edition in game items.  Also I read that people with the original only get free game time until September 9th.  As for early access I didn't find anything too clear.  The only thing I worry about now is after September 9th could I continue playing by setting up a payment plan or am I going to have to buy ARR?

do we know yet if this game has monthly fee's or not? if it has a 14.95/mo subscription model im going to yell. the game is good, but its not THAT good.

Here is the subscription model breakdown, yes it will be the standard $15/month. I cannot find the article atm, but the director said something to the extent of they are going with the sub fee because it creates a consistant influx of funds that allows them to play for expansions and content whereas F2P is wildly inconsistant.

I don't think TOR failed at end-game, they release as much of it as any other MMO (I get an update email nearly weekly).

BioWare just played it too safe and at the same time everyone was expecting Galaxies 2 at launch.

SWTOR is still a solid MMO if ur into the WoW kind of MMO.

I do not have legacy either. Legacy just means you paid for more than 3 months of 1.0. As long as you bought the game already, you should be good.

edit: can try downloading the client, it will prompt you to log into your SE account. If you already have a code on the account, thats all you have to do is log into the account.

I've been playing it this morning until I got booted off due to emergency maintenance.  It's a great game, definitely one of the best MMOs I've played, at least starting off.  The graphics are great, the sound is great, and so far the community is really friendly and helpful.  I'll most likely be playing this one for a long time.

Didn't have any problems getting on the EU server. I like it jumps into cutscenes alot, it makes it feel less woodstrump npcs. The userinterface is abit clunky imo. Probably just need to get use to it.

Does anyone know when us CE 1.0 owners can download the client?  I have installed the launcher, but when I log into my SE account from the launcher it says invalid access.  Does that mean I have to wait until the 27th to log in and start downloading the client?

One thing thats annoying, the game has very little apmosphere to it. Some more ambient sound effects would be nic.e

And I don't think tht downloaded the game because it took like under 5 minutes to download.
