Did anyone get in? Reading the forums seems like a lot of congestion issues. Which is always expected on a MMO release. Pretty excited to play this one.Arthas045

I am interested. Tho i doubt it will hold me like WOW did once.

I took the plunge because what the hell, had the money and MMORPG is my favorite genre. First impressions....way cool world and atmosphere. The tutorial holding your hand along the way does a good job helping you, just way too many fedex quests. I wanted to just get out and kill some shit but found myself stuck in fetch quest hell in the starter city. You can go out anytime, I just hate lingering quests waiting to be done lol. OCD. Not sure about combat yet, hard to tell with 3 skills, but it is your standard tab target which I'm cool with. Seen some pretty cool mobs out there. Seems there will be tons of opportunity for social interaction, glad to see a "new" MMO get away from this whole dodge roll action crap and get back to old school.

How's the game so far? I'm still on the fence about it....

I never played Ragnarok, but I am liking ARR reborn so far and the combat is better the ffxi. I am playing archer and love how there is no auto attack.  The battling is a little more fast paced compared to the orignal xiv and the UI is better.  Getting around town is enjoyable and you can teleport places once you touch a crystal.  Character customization is decent enough.  It is way better then how it was in FFXI and it offers more then Guild Wars 2 or The Old Republics character creation.

I'm sorry but i don't really care much about character looks.... where i'm from.. character customization revolves around your character build and how you play with the character you create your own way... not how you dress them... that's very minimal gameplay wise..... what i'm asking is how are the character builds ? do they just follow one path ? are all the knights / archer and so on going to be the same with different gear setting them appart art only ? I have games that make you craft gems and sockets to differentiate stat bonuses.. it becomes a tedious chore. In ragnarok For example you could have made an Attack speed knight that grinded with attacking increrebly fast and dodging enemy attacks.. or made a tanky knight that gathered enemies around while a Mage AOe'd them to death or go a PvP path witch was a hybrid damage and tanky to sustain and hit stronger enemies that ditched more exp ( but was recommended a priest to help you or be rich with a gazillion pots ) <<<<<<<<<<<<<< that's... character customization. You assigned your character your stat points and stat boost came from regular items and cards that had fixed stats not having to play on crafting gems.

I would play this (or at least try) if it had no monthly fees. No way im giving them money every month for them to add an expansion which im buying as well so they're taking $30 for the game, $15/month from everyone AND their expansion for $30? wth. This monthly fee need to stop in our day n age.silversix_

So have they added much end game content? Seems as far as leveling go the game doesn't hold back, but not sure what the end game is looking like. Are the Primes still in the game?Arthas045

edit: unless you have friends to play with the JP servers have a very good connection. I noticed no issues when I was on them and they are always up.

As usual I end up having rather smooth launch experiences. Yesterday I created a character in Couerl (NA) played for like 3 hours without a single problem, I just encountered one single goldseller as well (and I ignored him quickly).  Today I logged in like 20 minutes ago and current it's looking smooth.

I'm holding off. I want to play an MMO but I don't know which one. I don't want to go back to Guild Wars 2. I'm thinking of just buying the Rift expansion and playing that.

Level 35 onwards the Dungeons start to get challenging, sunken temple was absolutely amazing. As a healer I run out of mana often, boss fights are starting to get intense. I have high hopes for the end game already. It feels like Vanilla/TBC difficulty again, where you actually had to try. Expectations are met... and then some. has its little quirks.... but mostly delivers. none of this trinityless bulls*it. good traditional MMO with that final fantasy flavour.MBirdy88

I played a bit during the beta and wasn't impressed.

Now I'm watching my friends play it via Twitch.tv, and I gotta say I'm intrigued.  The fights I saw looked challenging, frantic and very coordinated.  Looks excellent actually.

I'm probably gonna dive in sooner or later, I need a game to waste time on till I go to boot camp.
