I have a link in my OP where to download the client.
edit: also use this wiki to learn about the job/class system http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Jobs
IxX3xil3d0n3XxI
Well there ya go...I didnt see anywhere to DL it on the site.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I briefly skimmed over it, but I believe he wanted just the client? The games he bought might already come with the code so he doesnt have to buy it online, which is what you linked. This is the client download: http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/jp/
Note: it is in japanese, but just click the big red button, and the client will download in English.
You know when you've played too much FF14 ARR when your classes/jobs look something like
31 PLD/15 THM/39 BRD/15 PUG/20 CONJ/38 SMN/12 MAR
Close to what I have and false, you can never play too much. You know when you've played too much FF14 ARR when your classes/jobs look something like

Thanks guys....I finally managed to read the DVD using a 4th PC I had in the storage room (hahahahahaha, the lengths you go to).
Installed, created account, registered bonus Helm of Light for ANZ Customers and now updating. About an hour to go and then I'll give it a go.
Picked a great time to join with all the server BS in the past. Thanks guys....I finally managed to read the DVD using a 4th PC I had in the storage room (hahahahahaha, the lengths you go to).

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]Picked a great time to join with all the server BS in the past. Yeah well was waiting for that to sort itself out. Now comes the hardest part of choosing a class. I like "Thaumaturge" and then Black Mage cause I love playing Dark Sorceres in MMOs. Is it a hard class to learn? Which ones are noob friendly? I want a class with a good combination of cool looking armour and good looking spells. Thanks guys....I finally managed to read the DVD using a 4th PC I had in the storage room (hahahahahaha, the lengths you go to).

Played about an hour (got to lvl 3). Game looks solid and very deep and complex. Map is atrocious, you can't seem properly and find stuff.
Is there a way to turn off LABELS? I hate how everything has a title.
Also, sometimes the MINImap doesn't show me where my objective are or where to hand in quest, is this normal?

go to character configuration and it's under UI settings, unclick display action help.
Conjurer, which turns into a White Mage when you level Arcanist to 15. (and by doling the level 30 Conjurer Quest). Arcanist can turn into a Scholar which is the other healer choice, uses a fairy pet which heals, and focuses more on mini-shields and smaller heals (similar to WoW disc priest maybe? but not entirely)Anyone know what the healer classes are?

Yeah the map needs a rework, I don't think I've ever used a worst map in an RPG. I'm level 5 now and starting to get a hang of things.
If they pushed this game out like this in only 2 years I have to congratulate Square Enix cause it's mostly polished. I guess I've been ruined by SWTOR and GW2 cause man I miss voiced characters...
No idea what you guys are talking about, i have absolutely no issues with the map. It tells you everything there is to know about the zone. IxX3xil3d0n3XxIIt does, but its far from intuitive or accessible to newcomers, and is miles worse than other leading map designs.
I literally cannot think of one thing the world map lacks, it copies functionality from every other MMO. Possibly the only downside is the way locations are displayed on the map, it can be a hassle in a crowded city, but even then zooming out or in fixes that. Anything specific you guys dont like about it? IxX3xil3d0n3XxIim honestly with this guy.... i dunno what problems you guys are having with the map... doesnt make a lot of sense to me. i have never had any problems finding things.

Its a lot more confusing than other maps like GW2 and WoW, specially when going up or down levels. I rarely have issues with maps in RPGs, but with FF I see myself always checking back to it too often.

I had to check the map a lot in Gridania, but after going there so much for story and class quests and lvling, i never open my map anymore.
edit: what server did you decide on?

Yeah might be the zone, I'm currently in Ul'Dah and it's very confusing. The map also lacks a bit of colour imo.... too bland and all zones look the same. As for servers, I tried to get onto both Balmung and Behemoth (unofficial Aussie Server) and they are both full and not accepting new players. Finally went onto Phoenix. http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/4136451/Cool. If you had any questions ask me here on on steam whenever, the game can be a bit confusing if you've never played a FF-type game before. I followed your character. http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/2174149/IxX3xil3d0n3XxIThanks I will. Last FF I played was part 7 like 20 years ago...lol
FF14 IMO has the best end game boss fights of any MMORPG.
The main story last boss fights have an epic feeling and the music just pumps you up.
Just listen to this and tell me this is not epic music to fight a boss with, especially when it ramps up.

I love the music in this game, it's honestly probably a 3 way tie a for FF6,FF14 ARR and FF7 for best music in the series.
There is a file you'd have to copy from the folder that will put your spells where you set them. I dont see this being high on their priority list for a while. IxX3xil3d0n3XxIDo u know which file and where by any chance? And it really shouldn't be on the priority list to start with, this is an MMO, it should be there by default. I understand things like Macros and Addons not syncing across PCs, but UI and Keyboard Layout should.

I believe the file is under Program files> SquareEnix> Final Fantasy XIV- A Realm Reborn > game > Im not 100% sure which file from here. If i had to guess i would try the BCK file.

Haven't used this feature maybe cause you just play it on one PC? But for people that have more than one PC it's nice to have cause when you change something on one PC, it automatically syncs on the others. For example I have my home PC and my work PC where I play MMOs.

Cool thanks. It's not so much about setting it up more than once, I can do that. It's more about the future, where you CHANGE things around and then you have to manually copy that file over. In an MMO some things like the UI positions and Keyboard Layouts should always be server side. Hopefully Square Enix puts it in soon.[QUOTE="RyviusARC"]

Digital Sales right now are turned off by Square Enix (that's digital only, so download only). You can still buy the retail boxed copy in any shop.On the square Enix store there is a pc digital download and then the copy. If i buy the copy will it email me a key or send me a box? Confused cause the pc digital sale is blocked but the other one is open
