The REAL reason you hate WoW

Thesis: people "hate" WoW because they lost a friend/family member to the vice that is the game. Believe me I sympathize, I've lost a few friends to the game, but the ravenous hate for the game cannot be justified because of the gameplay, which is unarguablly high quality and fun (for awhile at least).

I can understand a small percentage of people genuinely not liking the game, but I think most of the hate stems from seeing a friend give up their social/etc. life.

No, people hate it because it was turned into even more casual crap.

its pretty bad when a 7 year old girl can have multiple max level characters.

That still doesn't justify the virulent hatred of the game... maybe as a player you think that sucks.

I don't hate World of Warcraft. To be honest I don't have much of an opinion on it at all. I have never tired it.

Because i had to buy it 3 times (appearntly i was buying gold) till i gave up, plus they keep sucking our money with new expansions

Yup i supose that is correct because wow does one thing only, picks an individual and takes his life away and his friends never seen him again, like my cousin Jason....:roll:.... he plays wow alll day long. So i hate wow for taking away my cousin, we were always so close..... I hate wow because i have a life, and Jason also had a life and we were best friends....Now he plays WOW and i joined gamespot because i dont see him very often and waste my life too here typing wow hatefull comments till the day that he finnaly get tired of wow :lol:

i don't like it because i shouldn't have to invest 1000 hours into a game to start enjoying it.

Blizzard was awsome when they we're focusing about quality like Warcraft III + Frozen throne , and Starcraft, These we're great games and we still play them..but then they decided to go moneywise, Which began the life sucking WoW

Most of the people that HATE WoW hate it because after2-3+ years of playing the hell out of it... they got bored.Yet... they kept playing it... and playing it... until they got so sick of it they FINALLY quit. Now because they can't remember how they entertained themselves before WoW, they hang out in gaming forums looking for WoW posts to troll.

Funny how the inanimate object like WoW, guns, cigarettes... etc are so often blamed for how the lower 10% of the bell curve use them.

The rest just can't get mommy and daddy to raise their allowance.

Because WoW players are all excessive OCD addicts, right? Don't let the 10% that show up on the news fool you, or your own personal experience for that matter... they are a minority.

i haven't "lost" a friend to it yet, but i do have a friend who plays it a lot, he has 1 maxed character, i'm just hoping he doesn't end up with multiple ones

I used to play WoW with my friends, and it was just a good way to enjoy time, seeing our town has nothing remotly close to it that can be fun for a while.

Now one of my friends just talks and talks and talks about WoW. Me and my friends have given up on it because of wanting to try other stuff, and here is this one guy who refuses to stop coming back to it. But meh, he likes it, then he can play it.

I dont hate it per say, but after playing it for about 3 years. I have just lost intrest.

I don't hate it one bit, I dislike the fact that they made it more casual. I mean yes they made hard modes that can make certains fights really difficult however I don't want to waste hours and days to kill the same boss but a different way. What I liked about BC was that not every one could kill Illidan or actually make it in SWP. I enjoyed the fact that I was in content that I had worked hard to reach with my guild and not every one could explore.

But now any one can go and raid, either 25man or 10man. I made it to 10/12 (25man)in Ulduar as a tank then realized it was useless. The guild I was in (different than my raiding guild in BC) kept recruiting random people and gave them "shots". In BC it was very competitive to get into a raiding guild because there were very few of them that actually made any progress. But now it seems the tables have turned and more incompetent people play the game. (Not to mention countless raiding guilds)

I miss BC or hell even Vanilla wow when you needed 10-15 people to do UBRS or 40 people to do a full raid. I miss the long time consuming instances and I do miss the days when have an epic was trully epic.

I'm going to try AIO (beta from fileplanet), I doubt i'll ever subscribe to another MMO though because i'm about to start my third year in college and honestly I don't think it would be wise to get into such games again.

The graphics are bad, you have to pay even after you bought it. I find it kind of weird and i do not find it interesting

I don't hate WoW. I hate most of the ******s that play WoW. The game itself is very enjoyable. Used to be, at least :roll:

They made WoW AS A FREAKING CARTOON! I hate their art style animation etc etc. Aion is LOT BETTER! Hekynn

too much grinding, too (entirely) gear-based, and too many kids. that's about it.

I wouldn't want to spend playing WoW every day in my room and ruin my social life, so no thanks.

I was losing alot of neurons and my IQ was dropping every time i logged on. Too many e-peeners going around. They release new things too early, making the other things u gained useless.

WoW fanboy coing on here trying to tell us that we don't really hate the game. We hate the game, because it sucks. Why anyone would pay $1000 to play this "game" is beyond me.

I don't know anyone who has ever even tried WoW(besides one friend, who tried the trial and quit that in about ten minutes), so that "thesis" is wrong
