A lot of people had a lot of love for the 9700/9800 Pro cards for good reason. I ran a 9800 Pro for close to three and a half years before I finally gave it up. I had an all-round great experience with it. The only reason why I gave mine up was because I knew it would struggle big time with the games coming out this year and also because it lacks SM 3.0 support which some games are starting to need. But as I look back at my 16 years as a PC user/gamer, that 9800 Pro is definitely in the top three video cards of all time that I have owned, if not the best for overall user experience.
Eh... I thought the PE just had higher clock speeds?ATI x850xt. I'm flashing it to an X850xt/pe in a couple days once I get my water cooling kit installed. It will unlock 4 dormant pipes and make it about 10-15% faster.
I run Battlefield 2 Max settings. CSS max settings. So I'm happy :)
