A single X1600 for me, its an OK card, not fantastic, but it does the trick. I will be galadly hugging my 8800GTX\GTS later this year, though.linkthewindow

Pali Daytona Geforce 6800GS 256MB AGP.

It's not a card that bad, but my crappy processor seems to bog the framerate down in most games (sig).

I have a 6600GT 128MB PCI. For someone who's not a big PC gamer, I don't think it's a bad card. However, I'm going to purchase Command & Conquer 3 and I would like to have it running smoothly. I'm sure that a small upgrade to my card will make this happen. The demo runs decently enough on my current PC, but I can't max out the settings without taking a hit in the framerate. Any suggestions as to what card I should buy? Keep in mind that: 1) I'm primarily a console gamer. 2) The PC games I play the most are FPS and RTS. 3) I usually don't play the latest PC games, but I'm making an exception for C&C3 because I'm a C&C fan. My PC specs: -P4 2.4 GHz w/ 1.0 GB SDRAM -Windows XP -No PCI-E slots, 2 AGP slots -nVidia 6600 GT 128MB PCI card

I run an ASUS Radeon X800XT Platinum Edition. It has done its duty quite admirably but it's starting to struggle just a tad with some of the latest titles, oh well... probably time to break open the ole' piggy bank :(

soooo lemmie see if i got this right.im not all smart when it comes to computers but i have been learning a little here and there by coming in here and asking questions.altho i get alot of rude people telling me to look it up...there are people here that can explain things to me better then trying to look it up and figure things out myself.so  the 8800 gts is like a cheaper Dx10 card for nvidia... and the 8800 gtx is the more expensive... Dx10 card for nvidia. sooo the r600 line is like ati's line of Dx10 cards? so Ati doesnt have Dx10 card out yet?

I did some test on one of my old 6600GTs on my old computer. I played Quake 4 at Max settings at 1600 x 1200 got around 25 Frames per second and the same with doom 3. BF2 I was getting around 30 Frames with everything on max at 1280 x 1024. I bet that card can still run things good now maybe in a few months though.

My board has both AGP and PCI-E and I was going to get a X1950XT or 8800GTS but have decided to spend that money on an Xbox 360 because I would rather play Forza 2 than any PC games scheduled this year.  Yes that includes Crysis.  I consider Forza 2 to be THE GAME of 2007!

XFX 7600 GT XXX edition. It does what I need it to do, runs current games on High detail.. although it's falling behind on some of the more recent games.

I just upgraded from a geforce 6600 256 mb to a 7600 512 mb..  the 6600 outperforms it..

On WoW I notice no diff, havent tried oblivion yet.

I had a 6600GT I miss that card... that card was WOW great but it was its time and I changed to 7950GTX ... its pretty cool~

I use a 7800gs from evga.  It is about as good a graphics card i can get for my setup.  i wish i had pci x
