Which game has the best graphics ??

If you have the hardware to run them at high detail any one of the following titles look absultely stunning and you are really splitting hairs when comparing them in terms of graphics.

The Chronicles of Riddick (runs on it's own engine that easily rivals the others)

Far Cry (runs on the CryEngine which again is just as good as the others)

Doom 3 (as good looking as this is I can't say it's any better than the others)

Half Life 2 (not sure which engine this uses but it's as good as the others too)

The next step in graphics is going to be the F.E.A.R. engine. It's doing things with particles and lighting that I've never see before. It easily beats all of the above but at a cost ... it runs considerably slower than the other games (at least in it's beta stage). I expect the final to have slightly improved performance but by it's nature it's going to run slower because of the new stuff it's doing.

1. Far Cry
2. Battlefield 2 - As long as you got the minerals for it.
   
3. F.E.A.R.

HL2 is better in the graphics department.

Doom 3 is much much better, on my friends computer there is NO JAGGIES! even when you are in the darkest areas, dont get me wrong though HL2 is some of the best ive ever seen.

Half Life 2 is a better game, but Doom 3 has better graphics.

Half-Life 2 looks a lot better, but that's mainly because so much time was spent on it. When you compare Source and Doom 3 Engine games that are not Half-Life 2 or Doom 3, I find the Doom 3 powered games look much better.Cycloptis

The games looks nice, but if you are comparing engiens. I would rather work with the Doom3 engine. It might not have the character animations that Source does, but it does have a nicer feeling engine. Plus its the only engine besides what EQ2 is on, that can make use of a 512mb buffer.

meh I would say HL2....

HL 2 - I think

doom on ultra is way better than HL 2 on highest settings. But ithink Quake 4 looks a bit better.

Also Far Cry on highest settings look amazing with the outdoor enviroments and the range and freedom you have.

personally i think HL2. doom 3 is too dark to see the graphics. and even though i dont like the style of it. shaded pixelated and all. hl2 just looks better to me.stryker1234

Doom 3 for sure....and about the darkness....WELL U CAN ADD THE BRIGHTNESS !!

Half Life 2 or F.E.A.R. would be my guess...

hl2 powns doom3 not only does it own doom3, but it can be played on a much less powerful rig :) cant wait to play aftermath :D

Out of Doom3 and HL2 its gotta be HL2

But if someone's had the experience of playing AoE III at FULL DETAILS, you'll soon realize that the level of realism is extremely amazing. This is THE most beautiful RTS to date.
