Feel free to prove this to be untrue.[QUOTE="liquidsuns"][QUOTE="Velocitas8"]
Was that a joke?

There are a number of high quality IPS panels at reasonable prices.
Also, I would think that the burden of proof would fall to the one making the outrageous claim.
What do you want me to do? Link to every monitor that isn't like the 27" iMac? Those are great monitors, no doubt, but none of them are like the iMac's. This is undeniable. No monitor smaller or the same size as the iMac has such a high resolution and is an IPS panel. Also, having the same resolution as a monitor that is 3" larger gives the iMac a higher pixel density. And NO monitor that is 27" or larger is LED backlit except the iMac. So, I said there is no monitor that is equivalent to the 27" iMac in the Windows PC world and that the screen is worth, at least $1200, probably more, making the 27" iMac a great deal for the price. You responded by claiming this statement was so outrageous that it must be a joke and then provided a list of screens that, while great quality, are NOT equivalent to the 27" iMac screen. This list also shows that the most comparable screen available that isn't attached to the iMac is worth $1400 and is not LED backlit. I'll repeat, since perhaps you didn't know what you were getting into when you challenged the 27" iMac screen quality and value; it is the ONLY 27" IPS panel that has a 2560x1480 resolution and LED backlighting in the world. It's value is estimated between $1200-$1500, though this is not confirmable because there is nothing else exactly like it available. The 27" iMac is an amazing deal in which the base model at $1699 is basically giving you a computer for free and the i7 model costs $700. So....
