I never said it's bad that it looks like a clon (especial in game mechanisms), but the combat mechanism I saw so far are horrible. I stated I'm just a hour in it and it might get better :/

Been playing for awhile and so far, its excellent. Don't really understand how its a GoW clone. There are similarities, yes, but there are also a lot of differences. One thing I'm surprised about is the graphics, I didn't realize they were as good as they are. I mean, the game looks good, like really really good. A lot better than I realized from screens and internet videos.

Yep. It got my 9.0. First time I ever gave an RPG a AAA score for gameplay rather than story. :P (Freaking Final Boss. Freaking random events coming up in missions. Freaking awesome game. xD)Symphonycometh

@Roland123_basic: You're now dubbed the 2nd Valkyria Chronicles troll until you can pump out a video of you running with a Scout to the flag(s) without a New Game Plus file. Come on, show us how your Scout ran past the tanks and the shocktroopers! And especially Selvaria. @Marmotas: That mission was SO satisfying once I beat it! lolSymphonycometh

Yes, i did it at the 3rd try... in just 9 turns! O_O (got an A, the 1st one ever in that game by that time), i was so hyped at the time. (i got kinda lucky with the Lancers, they didnt missed too much in that game so i was able to take the turrts pretty fast)

I don't care what any review says, this game is awesome. They should have praised it for the simple fact that this is the companies first game ever and it came out so polished. Seasoned developers havent put out games of this quality, and it doesnt even require an install. It is a personal 9.5 for me as of now. I'm only 4 hours in, but so far its been pretty awesome.

Oh god, let me tell you a Largo story.

So there i was, about to finish a mission, the only enemy left around the flag i needed to get was a tank, i blasted the tank with Welkins tank, it was down to where i could destroy it with one tank or lancer shot.

Enter Largo, right next to the tank, its radiator was blocked by a house, but that didnt matter, i thought, "It only needs one more shot and its dead". Trusting largo with this mission, i run up a good distance infront of it, pretty much point blank, i aim, fire the shot, the shot goes so far to the left that it isnt funny and completly misses the damn tank! Its like some unseen force slapped my rocket as soon as it came out the lance, making it veer to the left.

Never trust largo again.

I will have to say it's the closest thing to Zelda for any PS3 only console owner and that is a good thing. Must have!!

The art style is very WoW like....another plus!!

Sure, the scouts are some bad mofos but they can't just "run to the flag" right of the bat. On the first play through they are much too weak. The game takes some real thinking and strategy to get through the first time. Unless.... You spoil it by googling the perfect strategy!!! If anyone is dumb enough to ruin the game for themselves by doing that should be calling themselves stupid and not the game. VC is an excellent game! Sure, its NOT for everyone but its by no means stupid. Why did Roland bring this up anyway? I guess he found your beautiful sig offensive. ;) Oh, and Darksiders ROCKS! The artwork is stunning and the gameplay is so solid. I give it a 9.TheEldestGod

I used to LOATHE that mission that when you first met Selvaria in that desert, and trying to survive until a random event happened. S And as well as that night mission where you raid the entrance, and right in front of you on the top level is Selvaria on a mounted Machine gun, mowing down as soon as you pop your head around. =((

But, Selvaria and Alicia are just so damn cute and sexy, i immediatly forgave the game and pressed on :P Btw sorry we hijacked this thread haha.

there was literally ZERO comparisons in gameplay between the two.

batman = stealth based gameplay, combo based freestyle fighting system, comic book "modern era" setting, gadgets gadgets gadgets...

Zelda= action adventure, dungeon based, non-combo based fighting system, fantasy setting, ride a horse around and shoot arrows at things....

saying those two games are alike is like saying tetris is the same as mario... in the fact that they are both GAMES. Darksiders is VERY similar to zelda... infact i would say it is basically a REALLY BAD ASS version of zelda. it has chime music when you reveal passages for crying out loud.....
