way better than bayonetta Do you realize how immature you seem trolling on Bayonetta like that? It makes your opinion utterly invalid. Without trolls, we wouldn't have an interesting Gamespot. [QUOTE="Roland123_basic"]how... in the **** was Batman Arkham Asylum like Zelda AT ALL....?[QUOTE="TheEldestGod"] I'd love to see a Zelda game on PS3 since Nintendo is apparently doing as little as possible to enhance the Zelda experience for their core fans. I want my Hyrule in HD! lol Anyway, I really think its a bit misleading to say this game is anything like Zelda. Sure there's chainshot type weapon and you have to earn new gadgets and gear to progress through the world, but the comparisons pretty much end there. And by that logic Batman Arkam Asylum was much more like Zelda than Darksiders. TheEldestGod
there was literally ZERO comparisons in gameplay between the two.
batman = stealth based gameplay, combo based freestyle fighting system, comic book "modern era" setting, gadgets gadgets gadgets...
Zelda= action adventure, dungeon based, non-combo based fighting system, fantasy setting, ride a horse around and shoot arrows at things....
saying those two games are alike is like saying tetris is the same as mario... in the fact that they are both GAMES. Darksiders is VERY similar to zelda... infact i would say it is basically a REALLY BAD ASS version of zelda. it has chime music when you reveal passages for crying out loud.....
You're really not trying very hard to see other people's points of view, are you? People are comparing Darksiders to Zelda based soley on the methods of exploration. You can't get to certain places until you aquire a certain gadget. Ok, Link has an Ocarina.... War has the Earthmover horn... Batman has his code decrypter. Boomerang, crossblade, batarang. Hookshot, Abyssal chain, grappling hook. Bombs, bomb growth, explosive gel. ........... You get it, don't you? They are all on this big open map with their own versions of "dungeons" with big bosses that require a certain kick to a certain area a certain number of times to be beaten. They all got their puzzles and secrets and all that. Batman is VERY much like Zelda and Darksiders. It plays the same. Sure, their settings are different, but so are Darksiders and Zelda's. The only thing War and Link have in common are swords, horses, and hoods. Does that mean Assassin's Creed is just like Zelda, too? totally untrue.....it has gadgets exactly like zelda, it also has dungeons that use said gadgets to traverse them EXACTLY like zelda. it has heart pieces exactly like zelda. it has a horse that you ride around on to get between areas like zelda. it has chime music that plays when you reveal passages exactly like zelda.... the comparisons go on. it is not simple "the game has gadgets that you use....". it is very blatantly inspired by zelda, it practically screams it in your face.[QUOTE="TheEldestGod"][QUOTE="Roland123_basic"] how... in the **** was Batman Arkham Asylum like Zelda AT ALL....?there was literally ZERO comparisons in gameplay between the two.

Yeah? Then so does Batman. Batman's gadgets are used the same way, dude. And I haven't heard any freaking chime music in Darksiders but Batman's decrypter plays a high pitched frequency to unlock doors. :P You're only saying that they are comparable based on the fact that they are fantasy games. reading comprehension ftw.... seriously. im pretty sure nowhere in those points did i even make a single comment about either being a fantasy game. i dont know how to illustrate that Darksiders is blatantly inspired by zelda any better dude.
and turn up your **** speakers, every time you do just about anything that opens a door, passage, makes a lever turn, put a key in place.... there is a very distinct chime.
finally, batman is not related to zelda due to the points i have already made. STEALTH being an integral part of the game (stealth has never been in zelda). free-form combo based fighting system (zelda has no real combos...you just swing your sword). batman has no real puzzles to speak of (zelda has puzzles GALORE). no mounted segments at all in batman (epona has been a mainstay in the series since LoZ:OoT).
after all of that, what are you left with.... the gadgets? ok admitedly the gadgets are similar. however, you cannot say two games are the same based on items when the raw gameplay is NOT similar. Zelda and batman play completely different and have different settings. one is a stealth game. the other is an action adventure game. come on man... they arent even in the same genre....

omfg lololololololol that is the biggest load of bull **** i have ever seen. now you are just backtracking to try and lessen the damage. if you think that "omfg i knoooooow i was just doing it to be contrary" **** is going to fly... clearly you dont know the internet. im done with you. i have already proven my point anyhow.and seriously... great lengths? apparently wikipedia is a mystery to you because it took me all of like 10 seconds to look both of those quotes up. those of us that make intelligent remarks typically include facts/data to back up our claims...
Seriously, dude. You can believe what you want, but it was a direct stab at you. I'm sorry making a point is so important to you that'd you'd do it so gracelessly. If you think a word of anything you've said so far sounds intelligent then you're tragically mistaken. You're obviously not half as smart as you believe yourself to be. Anyone who uses that many lols in a row is just to childish to get it anyway. Peace be with you, brotha. You're impossible. :P[QUOTE="TheEldestGod"][QUOTE="Roland123_basic"] copying exactly what i said to try to sound intelligent "ftw".... *rolls eyes*Roland123_basicActually I copied exactly what you said to sound childish like you did. I also thought it was appropriate since you've not comprehended a single thing I posted. I figured you were intelligent enough to see when someone is purposely being a pain in the butt. The smiley with the tongue hanging out was for you, too. lol you certainly accomplished the childish part.... you get a big gold star for that. kids like gold stars right?
Duuude, just stop, your just making yourself look more and more jerk'ish. Both gotta learn when to stop.

Yeah, I know, but I just can't bare it sometimes to see people be such an arse when they are obviously the one who needs a good schooling. You're right, though. I'm done. ;)I know this part of an argument. It's the part where the suffering party results to slinging small mud called insults. I say my job is done. lol I love the Valkyria fans here. They just have to call someone out on the bull, and the other side goes all angsty about it. lol

[QUOTE="Roland123_basic"][QUOTE="lightleggy"] and how do you know im trolling? how do you know I have not played the game and that im not giving a valid opinion?. btw, calling other users "trolls" goes against the TOUdont worry... around here people take anything anyone says that is contrary to their opinion as the person trolling... or just trying to be an ass rather that it being their opinion (valid or not). dont bother arguing with them, apparently all of the VC lovers in this thread deserve eachother. "OMFG DONT DIS ON MY GAME OR SAY ANYTHING THAT I DISAGREE WITH OR I WILL HAVE TO NERGASM ALERT DEFCON ONE ON YOU!!!!" that is pretty much what im seeing in here... Dude, you're just a straight up ridiculous. Nobody said anythign remotely similar to that horrible quote of yours. You're so immature. Kids like gold stars right? Well, here's a gold star you can shove up your..... "HAHAHA OMMMGGMGG LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! THAT GUY REPEATED ME TO SOUND SMART CAUSE IM SO SMART! AND I KNOW ALL ABOUT THE GAMES AND AS LONG AS THEY DON'T GOT NO HORSES THEN THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE ZEEELLLDDAAAA!!!" Goofball. lulzand your sig hurts my eyes
TheEldestGod
hey how does that have anything to do with what you quoted?
I think you are cuz darksiders is ******** greatAm I the only one that thinks Darksiders looks bad?

[QUOTE="raven_squad"]Do you realize how immature you seem trolling on Bayonetta like that? It makes your opinion utterly invalid. or he could just like it more than bayonetta... which makes you the troll. I'll try to simplify this for you as best as I can. Seems to be necessary to get through. This is a thread about DARKSIDERS. It's not a "Darksiders or Bayonetta?" thread, or anything of the like. The mere bringing up of Bayonetta in a derogatory sense is 100% unnecessary, unwarranted, and is in fact, trolling. Deliberately making a post, with intent to incite argument.[QUOTE="lightleggy"] way better than bayonettaRoland123_basic

:P You kinda had to be there. Lol :P Your *Whoosh*'es are pretty handy, id say :P Hard to argue with that.
KK so the 8.0 is in and the thread isnt locked from off topic or angry posters lol. I just finished watching the review and had a couple of chuckles. Overly complicated controls. Well if they were not complicated then the review would have said "repetitive". Plus I really laughed when i was watching him try to multi-target some objects, which he fails to do 3-4 times. During this I keep thinking "if hed only step to the left a little bit" so after the failed attempts he actually steps a little to the left and completes his goal. LOL newbs. Any thoughts? Sucks 360 has those issues, seems like its something possibly patched up? Im not flaming so no flaming responses from fanboys!
