yes just like MGS4 is coming to the 360. BS i say! jackle2071no no no, THAT cant be true, Kojima said he hates to make port's, and that the xbox won't be able to eat metal gear 4, (too complex for xbox)

Capcoms not thinking "lets p--- all the ps3 fans off!" The xbox360 has shipped around 11million to date (a bit less) thats around 9-10 million 360s in the channel, being played by avid gamers. Lets say you have a game that has cost your company most likely over 10 million dollars to produce, advertise, and get the word out. Not only that but its your companys first MAJOR franchise to hit next gen consoles... What is better business choice? Sell to the console that has 2-3 million possible users... which limits you to 2-3million games sold? Or sell for that console AND the console that currently has 10 million users that have constantly spoken out for multiplatform, and are almost a definite sale? Why did the ps3 not get Dead Rising or Lost Planet? Same reason. They were starting new franchises, so why would they risk releasing this new franchise that took millions to produce on a console with 2 million users when they could almost triple their annual sales by doing it on the console that had around 8 million at the time of release (LP). The gaming industry isnt a bunch of kids lining up in the gym and getting picked for dodgeball folks, its about money.GameArtGuyThen for that very same reason, Capcom should have released LP and DR on PS3 because that is another 2-3 Million possible consumers. But did they do that? No.
I love how in the first few pages, and ocassionally afterwards there's people refusing to believe the news even when it comes straight from Capcom's site. How is IGN more reliable than the company itself? Where do you think they get their news from? It just shows how delusional fanboys are. Also, in regards to quality degrading for multiplatform games, while that could be the case, there are always exceptions to the rule. It's not like you can't play the game. Just wait it out and then maybe you'll realize you wasted your time and breath for no reason.psybridThey didn't believe on it because it was on a different language, with help of an internet translation. The link did'nt direct you to the capcom site aswell.

Very true. Especially considering the Sony crowd is starving to play some new PS3 games, there would be an exceptional chance that those would fly off the shelves.
I honestly don't care about DMC4 because I think the franchise is stupid, but making an annoucment like this when Capcom knows for a fact it's going to hurt Sony is just intolerable. I'm all for making money, but not out and out destructive lies. Not two months ago, they were smashing multi-platform rumor into little pieces by making the absolute statement, "DMC4 is PS3 exclusive." Now, even when Capcom realizes that its company is part of Sony's insurance policy for this generation, and after it's already made these statements, it decides to change it's tune. This is not only a betrayal to fans, but it's also harmful to company sales. These kind of announcements seriously effect Sony stock. If they had made their non-exclusive ideals known about 8 months prior, I wouldn't be having such a problem with them. Now, I refuse to consume their products.[QUOTE="Liquid-Prince"]Then for that very same reason, Capcom should have released LP and DR on PS3 because that is another 2-3 Million possible consumers. What do they value most now? The greens, or the fans? And why do they say this c*ap for a whole year and all of the sudden announce about their move to become the next EA, 3 days before EU launch?

I do start to get annoyed when people start mistaking businesses for people who actually give a damn. These businesses care about consumers, not players. They want your money and nothing more, because at the end of the day, that's what makes the world go round.
Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Capcom... they're all the same. They're not your friend. They won't turn up for your kid's 6th birthday party. They won't buy you a Christmas gift. If you die they certainly won't turn up to your funeral. They just want your cash.
Ah well, yet another PS 3 Game gone multiplatform, and now there's talk FF 13 is gonna go multi too. You see Sony? That's what happens when you price your console out of the reach of the average gamer.
By the way, has anyone else noticed that Microsoft still hasn't turned a profit on the Xbox line of merchandise? That's what happens. Microsoft doesn't care about losses, their pockets are limitless, so they can afford to pay more then sony to get exclusives. It's ruthless business, something Microsoft is known for. What's really gonna be interesting though is 2nd and 3rd year development, when people start seeing the PS 3 Hardware get pushed to it's limit, which is gonna be WAY beyond what the 360 can do, and the price of the PS# has fallen, then we're gonna see what happens. However, in these first two years, Sony is gonna get seriously beat up.

There's nothing "small" about a still growing fanbase of 3 million customers--Especially when new games that come to it would encourage more consumer support.
Obviously; I never said anything to the contrary. I did say, however, that Capcom lied their asses off even when they knew they'd hurt their collaborators. That's not good business. Boycotts and complaints aren't meant to 'hurt feelings' as you imply. They're a form of protest that shows you refuse to support a particular business practice.I do start to get annoyed when people start mistaking businesses for people who actually give a damn. Allocating resources towards getting a sequel on the shelves is likely going to be more beneficial to Capcom.
I have to say....Capcom has lost its mind. I don't really care about DMC4 going Multiplatform...considering that fact that the man that made the game only worked on the first one, and from there capcom took it from him. Then the same man, along with the original creator of RE went and started Clover Studio's under Capcom...then Capcom shut them down AGAIN, taking the new franchises they made. (Okami ruled) But the fact they just friggin pop titles out so carelessly anymore, its like they expect people to just see Capcom on the front and just say,"oh man!! Capcom!! YES!!!!"Â ...I mean...look at how they've run Mega-man into the ground...how the hell do you screw up Mega-man!?
So I say, I have no respect for Capcom, they can go all 360 for all I care, or just sign on with Nintendo...I seriously doubt they'll put out another game worth playing in the future. If they do, well, I'll be very pleased to be wrong.Â
But when quite a significant number of people who own a PS3 are also likely to own a 360,Bear-Max
Based on the testament of whom? Not game statistics. The majority of gamers out there are totally polarized in their consumer habits. Capcom does not actually have any foreknowledge of gamers having both systems since there's been no real tally of such a ratio.
What do you mean "porting?" Up until now, Capcom was developing DMC4 using PS3 based code and algorithms. If anyone's getting a port, it's gonna be the Microsoft consumers.they're porting their games for just a portion of an already relatively small audience. you have got to be kidding me. How did Sony screw up so bad that they lost DMC 4?... not cool Sony, not cool.
(i do own a PS3 and am trying not to bash Sony but seriously.)

If they got Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 out on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, they're going to make more profit than just porting the originals to the PS3. Why? Well firstly there's going to be those who already own the games on the 360, and secondly some gamers will scoff at getting a 360 hand-me-down game quite a while after the original release.
