I can proudly say FF back on the NES got me into it. I remember being psyched for a FF3 game back on the SNES, and was surprised that..........characters change in every game. FFVII got me back into video games after a 3 or 4 year hiatus. I just picked up a PS3 and yes, one day will be picking up the FF titles that come out on it. Favorite series of all time for me.

It started for me with the GB game Final Fantasy Legend (which really wasn't related to the series). After that taste I wanted more of the same.

i was about 11... which was about 17 years ago and my best freindstarted playing a weird looking game... he had to ask me for about 2 weeks to give it try... I finally played the game called Final Fantasy 2 and i LOVED it...I've been playing Final Fantasy ever since... although I must admit I more of a fan of the old fight engine/style... before all this live action... preprogrammed allies stuff... back in the good old days

I was 8 or 9 when I started playing Final Fantasy, I played Final Fantasy VI on SNES (FFIII back then) briefly, but Final Fantasy VII was the one I played serious when it first came out back in 1997.

I can't believe it's been 10 years already, I was 9 years old playing Final Fantasy VII when it first came out lol

I tried the older ones on the NES, wasn't interested that much, the old concept wasn't for me, FF6 is where my love for final fantasy really began.

15 in 1995. Some guy that was living with us, had an SNES and was playing against the Kefka 3 tier statue. I thought the music was just awesome and asked him to play again just so I could hear the music. Then I started to play the game myself and been playing since. Though I started with 6, I consider it my first one since for some reason, the others (5,4,3,2,1) didn't intrest me at all. But I've beaten 6 through 12 (well since 11's not a single player game) minus X-2.

Final Fantasy X didit for me. It had a nice length, great gameplay, bunch of content, etc. It was just so damn good. After playing that game, I told my self I would always try the Final Fantasy games that came out after it. I missed out on the earlier ones. Luckily, I'm able to play FFVII on my 60gb PS3 because my friend has it and doesn't mind me playing it.

I think I played my first FF game when I was 12 or 11 im 19 now. It was FF7 and was the first RPG I ever played. I didint know what the hell I was doing at first, but I got the hang of it. FF7 took my RPG cherry and thats why it will always be number 1 in my heart.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for SNES.

It was $10 cheaper than other SNES games and was supposed to be not as hardcore. I wasn't too into turn based RPGs back then so I went for that one. It was a good time, then I let my cousin use it and someone at his house went over my game save. I never played it again after that.

I owned a N64 and it was FFVII that got me to purchase a PS1. FFVII was the best (of the ones I have played) of the series. It had the best story line I have ever seen in a game and I have never found a game that can top it. I purchased FFVIII when it came out, but the story line was very boring to me and I ended up not finishing it because I just lost the interest.

I haveseen this question before in other forums, but for what was the best game ever, and I've seen alot of people put FFVII in their list of best games they have ever played. I actually recommend FFVII to anyone that has not played it.

I was maybe 8 or 9 years old and played the very first FF on NES. That got me started. You created four dudes, wizard (i think), fighter, thief....don't remember if there were others.Mujambo

The classes: Fighter, Thief, Black Belt, Black mage, white mage, red mage.

As for me, I got started a long time ago on FF for the NES and FF II/IV for the SNES. I actually have never played 7 (shocking, I know) because I never owned a PS1...I didn't get into Playstation until the PS2. The first RPG I then bought for my PS2 was FF VIII, which I hated. That turned me off of newer FF games until I watched some friends play FFX, which I have since played. I actually thought FF XII was even better than X (which had it's fair share of flaws), and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for FF XIII.

One of these days I might try and go play FF VII, but with all the hype surrounding it, I'm afraid I won't like it because I'll be expecting too much. I ended up hating Chrono Cross because I was comparing it to Chrono Trigger, and it seems to me that FF VII won't live up to the bar that I think was set with FF VI.

What started it all for we was Final Fantasy NES, my friend had Phantasy Star on Sega. If one of us got stuck we would trade off systems. Those were the days.

The first FF I played was FF VIII.... And I loved it. It was so cool that I have noother option than start searching for other Final Fantasies (I only had PlayStation, so my choices were very limited).

Then I played Tactics... That was a hell of a game! Truly worthy of the Final Fantasy name. Then came IX... I like it but not as much as VIII.... It was so... So... So childish? The history was good but no great. And I waited for FFX to be released on PS2.

OMG... This is not the first time I post on this forum that FFX is my favorite FF. I cried like a little child playing that game... It was so beautiful and the story so sad... Incredible experience.

When I finished X, I went to amazon.com to buy FF VII... At first... I could not play it. The graphics were UGLY AS HELL (yeah, to play 7 after playing X...). But I forced myself to play it and I was blown away. This is the most incredible adventure I have ever played...

Then came X-2... I prefer to not write anything about it... And XII... I like it very much, but not as much as VII, VIII or X. Now I'm waiting for XIII.

i've actually never played a FF game before because I never was a fan of rpgs especially turnbased when I was younger but i've matured as a gamer and have started branching out. I'm interested in 13 especially after the change in direction for combat in 12. I'm thinking of borrowing VII so I can remote play it on my psp or getting crisis core. What i'm really hoping for is the release of ffvii on the psn store so i can put it on psp. I'd pick up 12 but i hardly have time to play the ps3 games I have as it is not w/o even thinking about 08. i might think of picking up fft:war of lions on psp but i'm a bit scared of sjrpg

I saw a picture of Final Fantasy VIII, It looked breath taking. Then I played the demo and I just said to myself I need one. Then I don't know my dad randomly bought me one, and I was hooked till about X-2. I bought FFXII but the series has gotten pretty old for me, or rather I don't like the changes that the series has made, I'd love a return to the old FF style.

Believe it or not but it was thanks to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance(GBA), which got me started. I liked it so much that decided to buy FF X and from the moment I put that disc on my PS2 I fell in love with the series. FF XIII and MGS4 were the reason I bought a ps3. I haven't play FF III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and FF IX. I have FF I and II for the psp, FF XII and Ididn't buy XI. I'm going to get FF T for psp soon and the ones that I don't have hopefully at fair prices and in good conditions (FF VII cost between $70.00 and $298.99 at Amazon:shock: ).

A few years ago when I got a PS2 and the first game I got for it was Star Ocean Till the end of Time. I started to like Square and checked out FF10 and now I most of my PS2 collection is Square and RPGs. FF12 is the best in my opinion.

Phantasy Star 4 on genesis was my first RPG unless you count LoZ as an rpg. After Phantasy Star I was looking for another great RPG and my buddy tipped me off to FF2 US. I became obsessed and dived straight from that into FF3. I also loved 7, thought 8 was ok and loved 10. For me 12 was a complete disapointment. FF13 will make or break the series for me.

You should try 4 and 6 (2 and 3 in the us) for SNES. They are still amazing titles....while im on the subject your missing out on of the greatest rpgs of all time if you dont play Chrono Trigger. Mario rpg is also bad ass.
