I was 6 years old, renting games from a local video store with my dad. Final Fantasy II was sitting there on the shelf, its red cover looking so glorious and inviting. We rented it, and I fell in love. A few months later, I asked my dad if he could ask the owner of the store if he could buy it from them. He asked, they agreed, I got my FFII.
After maybe...half a year, Final Fantasy III was given to me as a birthday gift. I gasp at the box, wondering what the little white creature was. I popped it in, and there was no going back. Played every Final Fantasy ever since, almost every Square game, and have thus been treated to quality gaming for the past 17 years.
