Guess I can wait then. I was going to wait till october anyway so whatever. Guess that the wait wont be as harsh as I thought :P. Anyway, Im still getting it. The gameplay even according to the review is good, so thats a good point. I dont care much about AI in FPS most of the time, cause I play them to blast something so doesnt bother me either. I have seen worser stories and thats a given (a few recent titles pop to my mind, but I will refrain from mentioning them )
I will wait for more gameplay video's on youtube or something. I knew it wasn't going to score super high but 4.5 is a bit unfair. More than likely at some point I will still pck this up.

IGN is about as non-biased as they come. They only game review I saw them screw up on was Assassins Creed, which I thought was brilliant and worthy of atleast an 8.5, yet they gave it a 7.5
Please stop hating on IGN, if the game is bad it's bad come on people, stop trying to salvage what you can out of a game that some people had high expectations for but obviously fails when it comes down to being worth $60!! Geez.

Pretty sure I've seen Haze ads on IGN, just shows even more how those things doesn't effect the ratings on IGN.
I was not expecting it to get 4.5, thought it would at least get 6-7. Think they've been a bit to hard on it, for a game to get 4.5 I think it has to be broken in some way. Haze isn't broken it's just not very fun.
Wow, that is a very low score for what people hyped a few months ago. I was expecting an average score of at least 7 or better, but when a game gets that low of a review, it's not too far off of a score.

See for Yourself?? come on man this game plays just like other same average shooter out there, the demo is garbage cause the gameplay stink, the gameplay plays like Turok but alittle better, and Turok is the one that deserve 4.0 rating.
Although I would like for the game to score well, for the developer's sake, I had a feeling it would be another 8 game for Free Radical. However, a 4.5 is far too low. Perhaps the reviewer was a jilted lover, or he actually lost his review copy then made up a score. I find it hard to believe that the Italians and Japanese could be so far off with their reviews. How do you get a 8.5 and 9 out of 10 and then a 4.5. Something is not right, and since it is not WWII, I think the fault may lie with IGN. I suppose in the end this just means people will have to play the game themselves to decide.
Oh well. I'm still buying this game regardless. The demo was good imo and this game has intrigued me for quite awhile. There are plenty of games that I have enjoyed that received poor reviews. It's possible the reviewer was expecting something groundbreaking as well as the masses, therefore giving it a low score. Since it's FreeRadical, they are held to higher standards.
A 4.5 is score that is giving to broken, crappy games such as Turning Point or Conflict. HAZE is certainly not that.

I'm not interested in the game at all but after reading this thread I popped over to IGN to read the review. It doesn't seem right! Something is seriously wrong with the tone. It's like the reviewer is trying very hard to find a hole and pick at it. I know that's what some reviewers like to do but that's taking it to a higher level, It comes across as more of an attack at the game instead of a review to say if someone who is into FPS games is going ot enjoy playing HAZE or not. As some of you say, 'it's too harsh.
It's like going "Keira Knightley is ugly! She was sweating in her white dress! Sweat marks under her arm pits! Oh my god, there is no way anyone can ever take fancy to Keira Knightley, her modeling career is over!

You forgot to mention Lair, anyway you said it yourself the demo was good but also many felt different about it some thought it was a bad demo, I haven't played it so I can't judge it.
I can agree that the game wasn't awsome, but a 4,5 is waaay to harsh, it dosn't deserve to be ranked with turning point and such games. was expecting more like a 7-8

Wayyyyyy to many people bashing IGN. First off they're the only ones who have played the entire game, none of you have yet some of you are claiming it's a great game and that they are wrong. How would you know this? Judging by the review given by IGN it wouldn't surprise me if the demo showed the best part of the entire game, in which case.... lol that sucks.

That is the problem people will blame IGN for this and keep saying it is great, I would like to hear their opinion when they play the game, even though I'm sure some will make it look like the best FPS.

Yes, it is kind of funny. Gamespot has a better community and I preffer the way content is organized here... But after the Gerstmann incident, my trust in GS editorial content is below zero.
About the game, that score is a little harsh... I can see the reviewer being one of those people overhyping this game and feeling dissapointed about the final result. I played the demo and found it to be decent, nothing special and not worth a full price purchase, but not broken either...
Wow 4.5 is so harsh, i thought it would be at 7.0 or 7.5. Let's wait until GS reviews it. Compared to Lair the graphics in haze is not what i've expected. After all the delays, this is the game we get.
Once again we come back to make your own decision. Just because IGN, EGM, GAME INFORMER, or whomever it may be gives a game a certain rating does not mean you will feel that same way after playing the final product that they played. Obviously this is a like it or hate it title (Famitsu gives it a good score and IGN gives it a poor score) whose to say any particular critic is right about the game except for YOU after experiencing the product for yourself.

But Haze will score high on this site from the review staff...I've seen the advertising on the home page...so it won't do so bad on this site...but I say it again...take from it what you will....

Besides, user review scores (ex Gamespot's user scores) are pretty much worthless because most of the voters have no freaking idea what scores mean. I intend to post a primer at some point. Zomg it was amazing, 10/10. Zomg it sucked 1/10, zomg the average review score is 8.2.... 8/10, etc.
