IGN rates Haze 4.5 out of 10

This was to be expected by many including myself. The demo on PSN was not good at all, I guess this review proves that Haze did not live up to the hype.

When i first heard of Haze and its developer i was excited even though i was not a timesplitters fan but i knew they had FPS pedigree and TS was a good game in certain aspects just didnt apeal to me at the time as i was all fps out.
The first gameplay vids were promising the jungle level, then the next i saw of haze was at E3 when they showed a new level and it looked bad. but i just assumed it was pre-alpha, i then read some previews about the vehicle levels and around 90% of them were all dissapointed with these levels as they felt like they were just thrown in for good measure and one minute you were walking round a jungle the next you were in a chopper shooting, no continutiy.
My excitment for Haze was dying little by little every time i saw it, untill it finally died all together after playing the demo, Nectar didnt seem like it added anything and it was not that beneficial to use it, the enemies glowed and i assumed you could take more damage, the jungle level was so linear, just one straight path through a jungle, graphics were quite poor for a 3rd gen ps3 game(assuming RFOM was 1st and uncharted was 2nd) the launch title resistence looked better IMO, but graphics are just a bonus to me but there was no excuse for the terrible textures on most thing that could be outdone by the best looking ps2 games.
All in all i could see Haze was going to be a dissapointment from a mile away(well after awhile, at the start i was excited), also i just found out today its native resolution is 1024x576 thats not even a HD res, it will be upscaled on ps3 then they pointed out halo and cod4 only ran at 640p, yes they did but it was still an hd res of 1280x640.
The reason for this was supposedly frame rate, but how can games like killzone run ok at 720p, uncharted looks amazing in 720p and runs fine so to me its like there slapping sony in the face saying they couldnt make the game run in 720p on ps3 and keep a stable frame rate after sony touted 60fps and 1080p which gran tursimo can do, so obviously its a developer problem not a console problem, they also through in the sly dig that GTA4 only runs at 630p on ps3.
The dev interview was on 1up heres the link, quite dissapointed in free radical, imsure sony sre too after getting that exclusive contract for this, i will be skipping this game its no big deal got quite a few games left to play and the biggest game yet comes on June 12th, mgs4.
I couldnt paste the link because of firefox, but its on 1ups homepage in the news section, im just saying because im sure somebody will go "bull**** you troll wheres the proof", its just geniune dissapointment which im sure allot of other ps3 owners have too, and too all those people that think the games will be great thats your opinion and i respect that so remember this is just mine.
