probably Final Fantasy X's ending, was a great but sad ending..

Anger: Most of the times when things dont go my way ofc :P But a pure hate target is the King of Fighter bosses, stupid spam all over the place (especially in KOFIX)
Sadness: FF VI, when celes keep singin with retro music on the cliff after "the end of the world" stage :P

lol so true first game i had for gamecube
So back off your rules, back off your jive now... cause im sick of not living to stay alive... leave me alone.....
My girlfriend thought i was crazy when i almost chocked while laughing playing disgaea 1 and 2 ... the prism rangers are just too much. And while its funny its also very sad in the first one when Laharl actually talks meets his mom and in the good ending too.
Â
FFX's story got me
I always thought MGS had a poor story... So I never bothered, but you guys made me want to play'em. Do I have to finish MGS2 to fully appreciate MGS3? Which one is better?
RASECUL
you always thought MGS had a poor story? i don't exactly know what a "poor story" means to you, but i suggest playing the games before you judge them. (start with MGS3 because that's the prequel) i'll tell you what IS poor though, the clichéd stories of nearly every RPG. not every, but nearly every. sure, some might tell the story better than the other could but that doesn't stop them from being clichéd. the MGS stories are in no way "clichéd".
the opening intro in Chrono Cross is pretty emotional beside the song is just amazing and about all the game is emotional
i get realy sad sometimes or realy happy thats why that game has 10 :)
and in the end of Metal gear solid 3: Snake eater i almost cry.
Playing Final Fantasy 7. My eye's got a let go of a time bit of water during the moment were Cloud let go of Areis or what ever her name was when she died and he let her go in the waters deep. Pretty sad.
Â
I get pissed alot when games get really hard. Like certain stages in Motorstorm just piss me off. But when I beat them, I'm like "hell yea."
Resident Evil series if played at night makes me check to make sure my doors are locked and i'll look around corners more.
Friday the 13th on NES scared me when I was a kid.
I didn't cry when playing FFVII (but that was so sad), but I came really close when playing Final Fantasy X. But the main emotion I show when playing video games is anger, especially when a favorite character gets killed off or something (or they betray me)
I'm a girl so i don't mind saying the following:Â
As far as sadness, I have to agree with MGS3 and FFX. I was literally sobbing at the end of FFX.Â
Then very happy at the end of FFX-2.
Very pissed at KH2 (Worst sequal ever). It was just a button-mashing mess. Cut scene, fight, cut scene, fight. Ugh! What a waste.
Extreme happiness when playing SC3. I must be the best! If there was online play, I'd rule supreme.
Finally, Resident Evil: the directors cut. Only got through the first 3 min of that game. Granted i was about 13 at the time, but i was playing really late at night in the dark by myself and i tried to go out the door of the mansion and those zombie dogs came at the door. I had nightmares for weeks. Haven't been able to play a Resident Evil since then. In fact, I really don't like scary games in general since that game. I have to play with my bf now.
a lot of people mentioned ffvii already. but ill mention it again. hella sad and so unexpected, my jaw dropped, and so did the drink that was in it. mgs3 also. i love the metal gear solid games (except 2) because it can really draw you into the storyline. i lived in that story, i was naked and solid snake. and it killed me to pull the trigger at the end, and i thought that if i didnt push anything, it would shoot by itself, just so i wouldnt have to do it. too bad that wasnt the case and you HAD to pull the trigger. that saddend me like crazy. coupled with the music, mgs3 is arguably the best in my eyes, and is a case of gaming perfection. ffx killed me, and i played it with my gf. she cried for months after the game, and whenever the lake macalania music or video came on suddenly, she would burst into tears. hell i felt that emotion in myself too.
also only one person mentioned xenogears? wtf, during the very beginning, what happend to his village and the girl who loved him meanwhile that same girl was being married to his best friend? wtf?! and most importantly, in that stage of xenogears, what killed me was WHO killed those people i just mentioned? thos whove playd this incredible game know what im talking about ^_^. rpgs are teh best.
The first time I played ninja gaiden, I was like damn this is the tightest freaking game I ever played, then I was like damn this is the hardest F***ing I ever played, then there was the satisfaction of beating the game, Ryu Hayabusa, need I say more
Â
sadness when meryl died in MGS1 (yeah i know 2 endings duh) but i was playing the pc version and my save file corrupted around mgs rex so i downloaded a new one and was schocked when meryl was dead!
the feeling of being annoyed is very .. VERY freqeunt
happynes ... when snake said he did not like to waste bullets :)Â
I looked through the first 8 pages of this thread, and not one person mentioned the "ambush" part at the embassy in the original GRAW. I've never had a moment more frusterating than that in my entire life. Worked on it for weeks, and still couldn't beat it. I swear it was impossible.
And in Resident Evil 4, during all of the cutscenes with Lord Saddler. He kicks your a$$ in every single one, and i just got that feeling of dread deep in my chest. That "i'm SO f*****!!" feeling.
 It was intense. :D
I got really .. "Confused" feelings in the end of Shadow of the Colossus. It sucks so much that the guy that does everything just to get the girl back alive dies himself in the end. Also, long ago when I bought Fatal Frame 3 I didn't know much about the game or even heard of the series! Though, from looking at the cover I knew that it would most likely be an horror game, though I could NEVER EVER play that game because I use to get so scared. After 10 minutes of playing it I use to shut it off.
well, there are many times.... but the battle with The Boss in MGS3 really stands out. I mean the climax of that game was great because you knew that was a definitive moment. Also the end in Silent Hill 3 when she vomits right before the final battle is crazy.
As far as anger goes, well you feel frustrated any time you get owned online (specially in games where you're new,) and any time you see someone just milking some sort of lame technique!!!! oh and some of the bosses in DMC series (like Dante Must Die mode, the shadow dog things are almost impossible to kill) those drove me up a wall!!!
[QUOTE="bkslayer"][QUOTE="xuimod"][QUOTE="NavigatorsGhost"]If you've even only vaguely followed the story of MGS3 and fight The Boss and watch the ending and feel no emotion, you are probably dead inside.Pablo620
oh damn, didn't know that game was that good. never played MGS3 and, ironically, i loved MGS2 but at this point in my life (born in the 70's) can't really afford to devote the time and energy to truly appreciate a game like MGS3.
Â
Â
Take 15 hours, i dont know. Spread those hours over a few weeks or something. Being born in the 70s should make you appreciate this game even more, simply because its on that level of maturity.
If you loved MGS2 then MGS3 will blow you away as it did me
thanks for the encouragement but not very feasible b/c i don't have a ps3 or ps2 only a psp. but i like to go to the ps3 forums just to see what's up with the system (will probably buy a ps3 proabably early next yr).

]what?
I think using the Wiimote draws me in emotionally more than I ever have before. I was playing red steel, and there's some tough sword battles, and when I would loose, I was soooooooo frustrated. Something about playing games while you wave your arms around just gets my emotions going.
Also, the stabbling motion in Twilight Princess makes me feel like my life is on the line during boss fights. You knock down the boss and expose it's weak spot, and then run over and franticly poke the eye or whatever. The physical movement required to use the Wiimote adds a level of emotionality I've never experienced in gaming. Â
well there is four most emotional games all on playstation2:
1-shadow of the colossus:i mean come on, to all the ones who played it,have you ever played a game like this?it stirs your emotions mostly very sad especially the ending.
2-final fantasy x:also very sad i thik that i cried for a moment:cry:
3-god of war 1+2:when it comes to madness anger and violence god of war can give you all this feeling of HELL YEAH when you beat a boss or rip out a cyclope's eye.
4-slient hill 3:i know it is an old game but still gives me the chills especially the music.
Final Fantasy X's ending. It was really sad for me.. when he's disappearing and trying to hold onto Yuna.matt_r2009
yea my friend said it was really sad

donalbane
i heard red steel wasnt that good
Â
little scared from the original silent hill on ps1, i was only a child then :)
wasnt old enough to play the 15 rated game, and it spooked me out while playing, as it was creepy, fantastic game though, that i just could not stop playing.Â
now im older, mainly frustrated would be my emotion.Â
Final Fantasy 9... That game is almost too immersive...
 And...
When I first played Resident Evil on the N64... I rented the game for a night, probably played for 2 minutes. I was scared sh**less! I couldn't get my guy to fire, and I pounded like 10 shots into the zombie and he wouldn't die! (This was new for me, the control scheme, gameplay... I went back to my Banjo-Tooie for a while.)
A few FF games actually made me feel sorry for the characters most recently FFX. MGS3s ending seeing BB get screwed over so badly got to me. Its all I could think about the next day at work.
A few times while playing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory online got my heart racing. For a few seconds I actually felt an urgency to escape like I was in real danger which is strange since I usually dislike online games and dont really find them to be immersive in any way.
Most movies and video games dont come close to evoking any real emotion from me but then theres that occasional gem that comes around. I was watching Green Mile last night and it made me remember that when its done right you can really get involved with the scenario. To bad most game developers tend overlook those qualities nowadays.
