[QUOTE="Babyjay2009"]It's finally over!! yay.NipplehookSo...what do we do now? Ive grown accustomed to all you guys. *tear* I think someone should start up a forum for all us ps3 survivors to just BS around on and play some games together...anyone?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Hate to burst a bubble, but my PS3 is still showing a date of 2/28/10 11:30pm (est) anybody else??? It works now, but just wondering....GoBucks614
When i opened my system it showed it as 28th of Feb/2010 as well so all i did was go to the clock section in settings and did a intrenet date, now its all normal with March 1st
I lost a very annoying one, my ACIT buy all weapons one. Now i need to make a new game and buy everything again....I can't believe how many topics were made about this... does anyone ever look at the stickies? :P
I still can't believe all this over a clock issue. I wonder how many actual trophies were lost? Glad I got my slim
redlightstudios
I'm just glad it's finally over,I'm sorry though for those of you who lost their trophies/data during the meltdown.
PSN was never down... As Sony has said, pre-slim PS3s recognized 2010 as being a leap year when it wasn't, which caused tons of problems. It's March now, and everything's good.Ok so PSN's up and running...but what about all us phatty owners?
Conjuration
Is the coast clear to turn them back on? Is the clock issue resolved?
Well we survived hoorah! was so glad I could go and shoot some people in MW2 today but I just looked at my trophy list.... still don't got my Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 trophies or World at War trophies..... anyone else still experiencing trophy problems?

Well my MW2 trophies disappeared from the trophy list I pressed O pressed the trophy list option again it was syncing and they were back I didn't lost a single trophy. :D
I just woke up from bed and it seems that Sony got the problem solved my lucky day ! Now i should pick my copy of Bad company 2 :D
Everything alright, PS3 back to normal again.
And while my Bayonetta trophies weren't there at first, once i started the game they appear little by little, not all of them i guess, i might be missing a couple of them, but everything else is fine.
I'm sure a lot of you have already seen this and its probably a repost but whatever.

LOL. I hadn't seen that...funny stuff. I did find it disturbing that I agreed with everything Hitler said in the video. Does that make me a fascist? :o Thanks for the link. :DI'm sure a lot of you have already seen this and its probably a repost but whatever.

I feel his pain, getting the trophies for Bayonetta is no easy task.
What a great video, if any, this situations always bring something so freaking funny and original.
So it is safe to turn on my PHAT now?
I can play it online and stuff now?

ok thanks. =)
are trophies really lost? on tekken 6 only four or five of my trophies are there. i had them all EXCEPT for 3 or 4!DINOBOT356the comment above you said " I pressed O pressed the trophy list option again it was syncing and they were back I didn't lost a single trophy" That might work.
Glad to see the PS3 is back up and running again. It was only a day so I didnt miss too much gaming :P
Someone should edit this into the OP "To recover your trophys: 1. Insert the game disk for the lost trophys 2. boot up the game to the main menu 3. check to see if the game is back in your trophy list, at this point you should see the game at 0% 4.Exit to the XMB, go to your trophy collection and press triangle 5. hit sych trophys 6. PROFIT! you should now see most if not all your lost trophys. its most likely if you synched them to the server before the crash for a full recoverydarkspineslayerDone.
Yeah i've done all that i'm still not getting my trophies back, well I guess i'm just gonna have to get them back the hard way.
[QUOTE="Prince-Noctis"]Or just forget about it and move on to another gameYeah i've done all that i'm still not getting my trophies back, well I guess i'm just gonna have to get them back the hard way.

Yeah my interest in trophies has really gone down, losing several days of hard work on Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 really destroys the interest.
Hi. Mine is fine now and can sign in but the date is wrong still. It says its the 1/2/10. Now its the 2/3/10. The time is right but was just wondering if it was safe to use and just edit the time or wait abit longer?. Thanks for any info.

This is complete, utter nonsense on Sony's part.
Telling gamers to "wait a day" rather than issuing a real fix for the leap year problem (e.g. a firmware update) is ridiculous. Will this happen every year? Do I just have to take a day off from gaming when March 1, 2011, rolls around? Or will the problem be dormant and not strike until 2012, which really is a leap year that won't be treated properly?
I've dealt with Y2K and leap-year bugs in the past, and I can tell you that the only way to fix it is with an update. I reset the time on my PS3 this morning, logged on to the PlayStation Network, and after about 30 minutes of inactivity, it logged me out with the same 32-bit error code from yesterday (8001050F)! I was able to log back on immediately, but how long will this keep happening? I can only imagine the feelings of people who lost trophies over this garbage.
Fix the problem, Sony. And PS3 gamers need to stop giving Sony a pass so that the XBOX 360 gamers don't hurt our feelings. This problem is indefensible, and it needs to be fixed now!
I was watching a movie on Sunday when this happened. Originally I got kicked off the Network in the morning but was able to connect shortly after, but the weird thing is that I got booted off my system completely with the "Blinking Red Light of Death". I don't know if the 2 are connected. Could the glitch have burnt out something that would cause my system to not work again? I have to send it in for repairs but if this glitch is at fault, I don't wanna pay for it. It's Sony's fault. Did anyone else get the blinking red light during the glitch?
LMAO there a bunch of sits going around stating "Sony Has Fixed The Problem" which is funny because they didn't "Fix" or Do" anything it just sorted itself out when the clocks went to march.Shielder7
Sony has created a system that can fix itself. Shouldnt that count for something?
[QUOTE="trupro"]Heres the main thing on my mind: A Clock error, trophies, or anything else network related, should NEVER effect whether I can play a game in my own home on a machine I own. Period. Its unnacceptable. Trophy integration teams? I would fire you people, instantly. You sucked from the get go and are terrible at your jobs, and now, even though I dont even LOOK AT OR CARE ABOUT TROPHIES, you've possibly ruined my gamesaves? And now my DLC content thinks its a demo...I cant play half the games I own whether HDD based OR disc based. People at R&D and product integration at Sony have made a terrible misstep. I cannot use something I payed for, because of a trophy issue or a clock issue? There is no excuse or idea you can conjure that will justify why these ideas are in any way related. The entire planet easily jumped over the y2k issue. A decade ago. Yet you geniuses somehow recreate that with ps3? And any trophy sync idea anyone speaks of is MOOT. There is absolutely no reason any trophie or clock issue should preventing me from spinning a disc around so I can play it. My god, it simply boggles the mind how some of these people even got a job. Anywhere, let alone at sony. Best of luck to everyone. Especially the afforementioned offenders. Their really going to need it. snake3ruleswhile I agree the offline gameplay shouldnt require online connection or whatnot, what you said about the world jumping the y2k prob and having no problem, is not really true. As someone else here, I think, already said, the year 2038 problem, or y2k38, still exists and is essentially the same thing as y2k, and it is virtually fact that it will hit hard and screw up several systems before the date in question ( as its already starting and effects anything that plans to that date in the future), and has no current solution besides ditching 32 bit for 64 bit. AOL servers crashed already for this, and a work around had to be written into their code.... so this happens, and clearly even to the biggest giants... just be grateful its not MS that had this problem or you can bet they wouldnt be so quick with a solution (should the automatic, march 2nd fix not work). Yeah totally, I can dig it man. Was just peeved that trophy sync based on clock functionality would crash my system. Sure am glad its ficksed tho, for sure!

It didnt fix itself. The error is still there but the symptoms have disappeared till 2014
