Seems it's down in some parts of the world, it's definitely up in the UK. I'm signed in right now.

Im aware because of the influx of password reset requests that PSN is down but when its back up how would u go about requesting a new password? Do I just attempt to sign-in and it will prompt me to change passwords or do I need to contact Sony directly?

I was signed in but as soon as I tried to plan online with Killzone 3 I got logged off and can't sign back in. Oh well, guess I'll wait till tomorrow.

Just came up with a "Password is no longer valid" message.Simply said enter a new password,re-enter password then enter...Done.:D

Hmmm did u attempt to sign-in with your old password then it gave u that message? Because I installed 3.61 and I havent gotten such a message

Yep I used the old sign in password.Then you will get the message as stated earlier like "BoutDat26" says.

it doesn't tell you this unless you change your password on a computer, but it takes up to 24 hours for the email to arrive...sucks i know.

They sure are taking longer than I thought for europe..

I enjoyed PES 2011 online immensely last night. I dunno if it's the people exaggerating the lag issues with the game or due to the low number of users online, but it was 99% lag-free with a little bit of slowdown. Sigh of relief because the reports of lag were kinda worrying but in the end it was almost as if I'm playing offline. Amazing improvement over '09 and '10.

Tried to play MK9 but that code issue kept me away for now.

What territory is the account set up at? Most of Europe is online.

First time just got a prompt that I WOULD recieve an e-mail, NOTHING. So I tried to resend my request and yeh I got server error everytime though earlier I managed to get the e-mail resent via PSN website that is DOWN AGAIN. I think PS3 brought the network back too quickly across regions, they didn't think it through properly.

Whats all this about email notification? All I did was change my password through the console and it did it instantly.
