Seriously, people? Oh no, we couldn't play online for almost a whole month, and to make up for it, they're offering free games that we already have! Obviously I deserve much more, considering I totally don't pay a dime for PSN, anyways! :cry:Razor-Lazor
I agree! It's not like they lost our personal info or anything! What if credit card information had been compromised? Things could have been so much worse! Oh wait..
it sucks for all of those who already have those games. for me though im getting infamous and superstar dust.
and for psp im gonna get modnation racers and killzone liberation. i cant wait. :)

Obviously I deserve much more, considering I totally don't pay a dime for PSN, anyways! :cry:Razor-LazorWhile I would usuallyagree with you, there's a different perspective people are not taking. I bought my PS3 with the promise of online support, I lost it for a month. That's not the end of the world, after all they were bringing it back it's not like the feature was completely taken out, but then they lost my credit card information. I understand this happens but then they decided to not tell the public about this until a few days later. But they didn't really tell a lot of people, I have friends who just pick up the annual Call of Duty game who never knew their personal information was at risk.
Sony made a promise to give me an online service which they couldn't deliver for a month, and to keep my personal information safe which they couldn't do that either. So when they release old games for me to download and give me identity theft protection for a year, then think everything is fine, I am a bit upset.
This is what I'm wondering as well. I have no idea though so I can't help you, sorry. I'm assuming per account, but I have no way of proving it or a source to prove it.is it 2 games per console, or per account? Because me and my brother have seperate accounts

Im so friggin happy right now, i have never played Infamous and i've heard great things, and never played LBP for more than an hour so thats totally awesome too. I wish i had my old PSP still so i could get those games too, but oh well. Sony has definitely went above my expectations by doing this.
I don't think people realize how bad it is that Sony lost people's personal information. There are 77 million people on the PSN, how many of those people do you think have used their credit cards at least once.Jesus Christ......
Sony's going above and beyond what they ought to do and people still have the gall to complain. I'm beginning to believe some folks aren't going to be satisfied unless Sony gives them free games for life.

I agree with u on that. I mean the stuff is free and atleast they are trying to make things right. Not just with the free games and other stuff but they are given all users 1 yr free of id theft protection to and thats not cheap. It just shows u how greedy people are in the world. All i can say is if u dont like what they are given away then dont download it. ITS THAT SIMPLE!!!!

You take a risk anytime you put personal information online. Sony that alone ought to be satisfactory for any, but Sony's still going further. They're offering free games, free movie rentals, and more and people still complain. Christ, no wonder the world thinks of gamers as being immature.

I may be wrong, but didn't Sony say there was no evidence of anyones credit cards being used?
Not to sound greedy, but for owners of both a PS3 and a PSP, are we being allowed 2 games for both systems?

They have no signs of CC data breach. They only know about personal info being accessed. If it's that big of a problem, you should call up your credit card company and make the necessary changes, and get the $1 million fraud insurance plan that Sony is rolling out to all users.[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]Quite good they put two full games up. Quite bad I already have all the games on offer.hiryu3ditto minus Dead Nation for me
is Dead Nation that bad?
Too many people to quote, so I'm just not going to quote any of you since many were making a similar argument.
To be fair, and I should have clarified, Sony said there was no evidence, and while you could argue that means the information wasn't taken, you could argue that it means there's a good chance it was. Someone said I should contact my credit card company and try to work it out with them, but even if I did cancel my credit card and get a new one, then my credit score goes down. It's not just the credit card information (which I know was the main basis of my previous posts) with my name, address, email, you can sign up for new credit cards and have the bill sent to me. There are many issues and they should have told me day one that they were hacked, not a week later.
A lot of you suggested I sign up for the one year of identity theft protection Sony is offering. Well there I just did a google search and I couldn't find how to sign up if you are in Canada, therefore that has no meaning to me. I believe I heard somewhere I am getting the same welcome back package, but apparantly not the identity theft protection
Alright, I believe I touched on all the points said. If there is an identity theft protection plan in Canada, it should be advertised more. I did a few different google searches and I couldn't find it. So if it does exist then it should be Sony's responsibility to advertise it to Canadians more.
2 games each. Though it's unsure whether it's per account or per system...Not to sound greedy, but for owners of both a PS3 and a PSP, are we being allowed 2 games for both systems?

[QUOTE="tjoeb123"]Maybe they should've let US pick the games WE want to download.hiryu3why do that when these games are all owned in part by Sony and not all the games on the store they have that type of pull to take losses on Didn't quite understand that last part. Third party games are another story, but what I was saying is that they should have made ALL First/Second party titles (like Uncharted 2 if it was on the Store, or God of War, or even PS Move Heroes) free, but getting the content would entail an unusual process, similar to how EUers claimed their free PSPgo games with purchase. That way they can still make money.
I'm content with this package. Yes, I was hoping for PSN credits since I've been planning to download the RDR:Undead Nightmare add-on. It does make sense that they're keeping the freebies 1st party.
As it is I'm going to download Infamous for sure. For the second, most likely Wipeout. I'm in need of a good PS3 racer and I was a regular Wipeout junkie on the PS1. I did play Little Big Planet before but it just wasn't my cup of tea.
2 free Games, a months PS+ and a weekend with free film rentals (of Sony's choice) for a service which is free. Two thumbs up to Sony. They could have quite easily just issued an apology and be done with it. I agree it kind of sucks for those who have those games already. I've already completed InFamous and played on LBP and Dead Nation yet will be downloading InFamous and one of the latter again just for kicks. Can't turn your noses up at free stuff.
I just rang sony UK customer support and they said its a problem with Hotmail due to it can't handle all the extra traffic from the PSN reset e-mails and to wait it out for now. Microsoft and Sony need to get their act together and whats the point of a security question if I can't just rung up Sony and change my password that way?
Hotmail is the bastard of all email services. Were they able to change it over the phone? im still waiting on my forgotten password for 2 DAYS NOW,,,,,,,hotmail as well:(
I was told to just wait it out for now though I hear over the net that if the problem persists then Sony will have to start letting people reset passwords via phone by answering your security question and confirming details.

I'd rather do it over the phone, then wait on here............for nothing???
This is a thread in the hotmail forums *click*post here to keep it going, were determine to get an asnwer from hotmail staff about the issuse that their users cannot get/waiting ages for PSN E-Mails. I am also urging people to e-mail gaming websites (I just e-mailed The Escapist) to pick up the story about Hotmail users not getting PSN password e-mails. I think its time Microsoft had their own little PR debacle.

PSN is still not fully restored so his sig may end up being correct.
