The PS3 Recommendation Thread-What Game Should I Get?(56k )Updated-Nov 14,2008

I have the money to buy 2 games before xmas, but I think I'll buy one then save for killzone - so which game MUST I get before xmas? I do like FPS's that aren't generic but my favourite games are action/adventure. Already preordered LBP by the way.wackyzaky7

Wish I knew what you had, but Uncharted is imo the best action/adventure there is. There is also GTAIV and MGS4. As far as FPS that aren't generic give Far Cry 2 a shot. Requires a lot of strategy.

I need help deciding between 3 titles, I can only afford 1. So which one.

* Saints Row 2

* Midnight Club: LA

If any ones thinking about getting Eternal Sonata; get it, it is awesome i'd say its the best RPG since FF9, if you look at my avitar you will see thats saying something.

Yeah sorry, I kinda meant games coming out - I have those 3 you mentioned. As for Farcry 2, I've reading it's quite buggy and disappointing?

One of the 3 games that I will trade in for oblivion is NBA 2K7 which I got by trading in both Splinter cell and Ninja Gaiden last year, will the same shop accept it as a trade or not?

I only traded once and that for this game, by the way I'm in the UK and the shop is GAME.

well..I dont know if the shop will accept it as a trade in (just phone and ask..) but I defenintly recomend u to buy oblivion!!

I just got it like 9 days ago and I'm addicted...huge world to explore, beautiful graphics and sounds, plenty of quests..u can easly play this game for 200+ hours if not more..it's a masterpiece and a "must have" game..at least that's my opinion

I have only come across one minor bug in Far Cry 2 and that was when I threw a gernade it got stuck in midair without exploding. If you like an open world game where you actually have to strategize to come out on top pick it up. I remember the first couple hours with the game I died an incredible amount, but once you get used to it it's a really good game.

the best out of those 3 would be farcry2 fo sho. folklore sucks;trust me. and socom's gameplay is good, but the network ruins it(it'll get better soon but it'll take a while). oh and another option for you would be eternal sonata, it's out now so... eternal sonata or farcry2... depends im gettin eternal sonata not farcry2. u want more RPG's or shooters?

oh andill put my question. i have enough money this fall for 3 games. the games that are coming out this fall that i want are... WII: tales of symphonia 2... PS3: eternal sonata, LBP, resistance2, and COD5. which 2 should i wait for?(note:ive been on my knees begging for some RPG's) oh and i plan to buy all five of those games. it's jus that im going to have to wait till christmas to get my hands on the 2 games that ill need to pass for now.

I'm deciding which of these games to get. Far Cry 2, LBP, Fallout 3, Spider-man Web of Shadows, GH: WT or Midnightclub L.A. I'm getting Resistance 2 for sure. I just want to know which one of these should I definitely get. I don't want to waste money buying all of them.T-Machine99

im getting a ps3 and two controllers off my friend for only $150

i already have a 360 and all the other systems which was why i havent bought a ps3 yet. Ive already played MGS4 and ill be picking up Socom.. i played a little bit of Folklore and really liked it so ill be getting that and Little Big Planet... ive been thinking about Heavenly Sword too... any other titles for the ps3 that i should look into getting?

Bioshock- i heard very good things about this game and i liked the demo

LBP- it looks like a lot of fun, but im not sure if im creative enough to make cool levels

Fallout 3- i really wanted this game ever since their showing at E3 this year, but i read that the ps3 version had a short draw distance and a lot of glitches

Hey, could anyone help me decide between LBP and Resistance 2.

I know they're both really different games but I'm having a hard time choosing one. I did get a chance to play the R2 beta, and I thought it was pretty good, and maybe the final version will be better. I've also been really interested in LBP. I can only get one, and maybe get the other one later. Any opinions?

The PS3 now has some really great games, more than could be said at the beginning of last year.

I just want some opinions on the game. I'm getting tired of all the shooters coming out, I don't even know I'll get Resistance 2 -even though I liked the beta..

Personally, Oblivion sounds better than Metal Gear Solid 4 to me. Plus my friend that has the game told me that there was over 100 hours of gameplay in Oblivion. And you can't beat that. So I guess that's what I will be getting.

Cool, I still play Oblivion on several occasions. Even though I prefer to play Morrowind. :P

Still.. it'll keep you occupied, like you said, for over 100 hours even more. It actually took me a month to beat the main quest...

I've beaten all my single player games and finally just beat the World Series in MLB 08: The Show, so im pretty tired of that after playing 162 games plus the playoffs. Out of the SP games I have, I dont really feel like going back and replaying them.

Saints Row 2 - looks really long and fun + i love random sillyness

It depends on what you want. If you want a game to last you, absolutely get Ovlivion. If you want a truly epic game, get MGS4. I say get both in due time if you could though.

I haven't played the game in months, MONTHS. However, I can tell you that this game has a pretty steep learning curve and you might get put off because of this at first.

I have Fallout 3 and it is a truly awesome game. It is very similar to Oblivion, so if you didn't like Oblivion then don't expect too much from Fallout. I haven't played Saints Row, but judging from the reviews, I would go with Fallout.
