[QUOTE="The_Crucible"][QUOTE="rocklegacy2"][QUOTE="The_Crucible"] No excuse for using the "N" word, or any racist slander.
But quit the whining about the language. Its just words. Whats the difference between the word sh-- and poop? It makes you think the same thing. Whats the difference between sex and f---? Again, the same thought appears.
here's an idea. Why don't you educate your child on the meaning of those words and theinability to acceptof those words in society. And how even though its ridiculous, people like you get offended.
SentientGames
By that logic, the 'N' word is just another way of saying black person. Society should just accept those terms, right? Vulgar language is vulgar language. He has every right to complain.
Just by you putting the "N" word in the same pool as the word f---, shows how little you know.
The "N" word has hundreds of years of racism and oppresion in it. Go to a group of black guys and say the "F" word. Then go by them and say the "N" word. Tell me they are the same.
I never understood that either. If black people wanted to stop being called nigglets, then they would stop labeling themselves that way. And don't give me an crap about "culture". I don't go up to my friends and say "Whats up cracker? How ya doin', whitey?" You don't see hispanics calling each other "spics", or Asian people calling each other "chinks" and "japs". It's a stupid double-standard.
I agree that it most certainly is not the best way to go about it. But from its roots, its a good idea.
I think most blacks use the term to take it away from others. Since they had it used on them for so long in such a harsh way, they feel they can now use it and demand no one else to. I can see both sides.
Adn you are wrong, we do do that. I say to my friends, "Whats up, sucka." Or, "Whats going on, dude." Do I actually mean to bring them down? No. Nor do most blacks who use the term wit their friends or others. Its their "dude."Non-blacksjust can't use it.
