He didnt take his kid to a bar, lets try to compare apples to apples. He is playing a game online. People get into the game and like to celebrate, I get that. But they DONT have to use the N word and other abusive language. You dont see anything wrong with kids using that language? You think the right way to resolve the issue is to say "MUTE the game" or dont play at all if you cant take it?
This guy bought the game for his kid, but any kid can go and buy the game or have someone else buy the game for him. Then most parents work until 5pm, and there kid gets home from school at 3, so the parents cant always be around to monitor what the kids are doing. So again, that isnt the problem, the problem is kids thinking its ok to use that type of language.

Thats funny because every time i get online all I ever hear from a British player is foul words. But at least I can laugh about it. Your son is going to get exposed to the language no matter what you do, so banning him from playing a game because on server was loaded full of foul mouths seems more than just extreme.
I mute the mic when I play online games, I am sick to death of stupid kids cussing at me and other people. It started with counterstrike and now it's everywhere. Kids in clans think they are the sh*t, no one can touch them and they can say whatever they want. That's the way it is, I've been there, and moved on thank god. As bad as the language can get, it's really on par with most pg-13 or R movies these days, he's gonna get it from somewhere.

I hate it when i hear people swearing their heads of for no reason. Its one of the reasons im glad i found a clan that bands that crap. I understand swearing under your breath during an intesnse game, it happens, thats why there is push to talk we don't need to hear that crap and niether do the kids. I witnessed him playing warhawk with the local option of servers in the UK ,that was fine but then he connected with global servers and found many American matches so he joined one,now take this how you will American players but i had to stop him playing because the foul and racist language brought to this game seems to be thanks to the USA players,it was F this and f that along with other nasty racist N words,i dont understand why you guys cant open your mouthes without bad language pouring out. And yes before you ask,it was only the americans swearing,i know most of you guys are not like this but the indeed are giving the good folks a bad name. Why don't you just turn off voice chat rather than not letting your kid play it? If warhawk is a problem then never let your kid play halo 2 because not only is their swearing and racism from people but their are tons of little kids who play that swear and scream as well.

Why dont you be a good father, and teach your child that although people use those words, YOU wont allow the use of them in your household? You cant filter everything forever.. he will hear the words from friends and other people. I am sick to death of pathetic parents that cant teach their children what is right and wrong. It's funny because it's normally the young kids whose parents arn't around so they want to feel cool. You can normally tell they arn't old by their voice... I find it that older gamers don't swear as much (Racism maybe).
Well the topic creator is right, everytime I play Gears online all the people from the UK, and other foreign countries pretty much have respect. But when I play with my fellow Americans it's overly racist,plenty of F bombs and mom jokes it's crazy. It can get very annoying but I've learned to deal with it.

IMHO. I have to agree with them in that there is no need to express the emotions experienced during game play through vulgarity to essentially perfect strangers. Granted that the vocabulary is in our "every-day speech" however, is it necessary or even appropriate? We all know it's not the most polite way to speak to others. Really, if you wouldn't say it in front of your grandmother, you probably shouldn't be using it in an open server speak.If you think that you need to express yourself thusly, go to closed game with like minded people please. Or at least warn your fellow mates that hey "I come out with fists flying and drop as many expletive as my Harrier drops suspects." As to those who say that they are "proud of their profanity", ask yourself if those you respect would be proud of you for using. I think that we all can agree that racist remarks are "bannable offences" in almost every situation.

Dude, to be honest it's not a problem at all. I haven't heard a single N-bomb on PSN. This guy was just really unlucky to have entered a game like that.
One thing that would help us is if the name of the person speaking came up on screen like it does in every other online game out there. Some guy on foot can say whatever he wants and nobody can see that he's the one speaking unless they happen to be facing him and somewhat close to him.

I was playing warhawk with my son for an hour today without any swearing...i can take the swearwords but not all the racism,i t does not mean im happy to let him play amongst it,and for the last time,read what was said in my posts not just a few damming lines that keep getting quoted out of context and realise i did not say all Americans,.I have heard all walks of life swear but what gets my goat are the moronic few that say such nasty hurtful things to people they dont even know,people know right from wrong yet the still act wrong,even some replies on here are shocking with swearing which in effect shows those nasty few even find it easy to be completly moronic even in a moderated forum.
