Why I banned my son from playing Warhawk

He didnt take his kid to a bar, lets try to compare apples to apples. He is playing a game online. People get into the game and like to celebrate, I get that. But they DONT have to use the N word and other abusive language. You dont see anything wrong with kids using that language? You think the right way to resolve the issue is to say "MUTE the game" or dont play at all if you cant take it?

This guy bought the game for his kid, but any kid can go and buy the game or have someone else buy the game for him. Then most parents work until 5pm, and there kid gets home from school at 3, so the parents cant always be around to monitor what the kids are doing. So again, that isnt the problem, the problem is kids thinking its ok to use that type of language.

i agree i think the bar comparision was ignorant and well stupid. and the disclaimer on the box isnt very helpful sure you should never let your kid play a war game in the first place online. but then what about games like need for speed that also have online? should u really need to be over 14 or whatever to experience a racing game? i think not.

Well there are a lot of idiots out there screamin whatever they want now that have a headset. It's definetely not a good thing, but all I can really say is to try and eithe avoid the american matches or turn off the mics and speakers. With all due respect, I've met a great deal of British people, some of which were more foul-mouth than even my trashiest American friends. If you can extract yourself from your ethnocentric mindset, you'll notice that people all over the world are more or less the same. Some of them are really great people, and the rest are idiots.

Ummm. Well, I've come across some UK players that use the same words, so to say that us US players are a rare bunch that do this on our server is nonsense.

If this son is a teenager, he probably knows all the words anyway. And uses them with his classmates constantly.

If this son isn't a teenager, then he shouldn't be playing this game in the first place and the father is a lousy one.

Why should Sony restrucuture their whole online service because you're offended? I'm not offended.
