If my math is correct Trump gets to 290 if he wins all the states where he is currently up. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ . But Biden wins if can flip one of them pretty much.

I don’t understand how Trump can be up as big as he is in Pennsylvania. Granted they still have a lot of votes to count. Curious what the projection is for the remaining votes.

Simple, the recent rioting in Philadelphia, and Biden's stance against energy and fracking. I said it on here that because of those two things, no way Biden gets the state. Now the state sees Trump absolutely destroying Biden in landslide fashion, and out of nowhere, for no apparent reason they decided to stop the count.

Democrats decry free government healthcare for everyone, when another government institution refuses to finish counting ballots - on election night.

So sad America that some of us seem to be okay with states completely stopping The ballot count because Trump is winning. Explain to me anyone just what happened this election, please.

So far, Trump has 25% in Philli when in 2016 he had 15% and still won the state. Unless Biden gets 75% of mail-ins, I don't see it happening for him.

It would certainly be suspicious. Same with Wisconsin which only has red counties left to count, or Michigan where the two biggest blue counties are already mostly counted and Trump still leads by a huge margin.

One possible reason I am hearing is that most of the rural areas where Trump has the most support are the ones that have been mostly counted.

Trump can still win the state, though. We will see what happens.

What are the chances that the four states doing this Trump is leading in but it's ran by a Democrat governor? Counting hasn't been stalled in a single state with Biden leading. Hmm, coincidence? It certainly casts a huge shadow of a doubt if these states suddenly make up double digit deficits to squeek out a win for Biden.

Yeah I think it's in the bag for Trump. Anything other than his victory seem unreasonable right now. At the end of the day the people have voted and that's what democracy is about. Even if the EC seems kinda dumb those are the rules and that's it.

It was always a win/win lose/lose situation. Both terrible candidates. This way America will continue to destroy what it has built for the last 100 years but on the comedy side will be more entertaining than with Biden.

Most of the mail ins will be Biden. No doubt about it. Expect Biden to get at least half a million more votes than Trump in Philadelphia alone, but it still probably wont be enough.

That makes sense and I also guess Biden will win the mail in vote?

I was wrong about Biden needing to flip juts one of the states. Of course he needs two. But he is up in Wisconsin now. So Trump is currently at 280.

Wow, this is as tight as it gets! What a drama!

The funny part is that even if Trump wins, he will still cry foul and take it to court. All because he didn't win as much as he wanted to.

Haha doubt it. Think he will be busy with a self congratulatory victory lap across the country 😂. He is going to be really insufferable and also hilarious at the same time. But I think he silently drops court cases.

That being said I have been wrong about everything thus far 😅

Biden is a favorite at the bookies still. The calculation is that he will win Wisconsin and Michigan which would be enough.

This is far, far from over!

Biden is currently ahead in Nevada and Wisconsin. If he holds both states and everything else stays the same, he only needs Michigan, Pennsylvania or Georgia for the presidency.

So...yikes, it's close. Trump needs to act fast if he wants to end the counting and silence the remaining votes.

Michigan are like 10k votes apart. It is slowly going Biden with the mail in votes rolling in. If Biden wins NV, WI and MI, Biden wins by the slimmest of margins.

In either case, we need to move on.

We are all Americans first, not whatever party we associate with every four years.

If Trump wins, I hope the Republicans can be gracious winners and the democrats can realize it's only four years?

If Biden wins, we need to move on and start healing and not lord it over Trump supporters.

No, Trump

  • Repeatedly vilifying political opponents
  • Habitual Fearmongering of Democrats
  • Talking about how Red States shouldn't help Blue States (who were in trouble due to COVID)
  • Riots and other forms of political unrest happening under his administration
  • Inciting violence against political opponents and hte media

But Trump didn't divide the US. He merely capitalizes on divisions.

In the end, it is us, the people who are dividing it.

@mrbojangles25:

Regardless of who wins, they will have a big mess to clean up. And the work could take much longer than 1 term. Bottom line is that Trump WILL be gone before any of it affects him. And he'll be either retired or dead. So none of this matters to him. It's too late for Trump to clean the mess he made and Joe will need more than 1 term to clean it.

So it's Trumps fault that domestic terrorists who voted democrat go out and riot every time a police officer uses self defense against a black man? Gotcha.

It's Trump's fault for doing absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. He only adds more fuel to whatever fire is burning. And that's a huge problem. Trump doesn't lead, he divides and thrives on the chaos.

Biden advantage.

Nevada has only mail ins left to count, and Wisconsin and Michigan will be counting a vast majority of Democratic votes from now on. He wins with those states at 270.

Georgia may also go blue.

However, Bidens ineptitude cost him the Senate (a net gain of one), and overall the Dems lost seats in the House (but kept the majority by a good margin).

There seems to also be a big red mirage in New York, although Dems have won for the most part. But it does have house seats in play.

And hilariously, it looks like Ilhan Omar got the better of Trump in Minnesota. She turned out the vote.

@djoffer123: We're hearing the same thing in Australia.

Unless I misheard them, it sounds like heaps of postal votes haven't been counted in pro-Biden areas of Pennsylvania and Georgia?

They're refusing to count them. These ballots are counted by machine, there's nothing stopping them from finishing the count, but once Trump got about 700,000 up, they stopped.

It's...what, 3am in the US? They can finish counting them tomorrow. It normally takes them days to count them all.

Trump wanted a landslide win on 3 November. It didn't happen. Now we'll have to wait for the outcome to be counted (unless Trump convinces the Supreme Court to invalidate the remaining votes).

exactly. the counters are human beings. they have to physically open each mail-in ballot, verify that it is legitimate and manually feed it into a machine for counting. they had been at it for like 18-19 hours straight. i know some folks are on the conspiracy train to crazy town, but that's not what's happening here.

trump's lead in pa is still significant ( 600K+ votes ), supposedly there's something like 1.5M votes still needing counting which so far have been skewing heavily for biden.

the net is, that gap will *likely* close up. will it close up completely? no one knows for sure at this point.

EDIT: down to under 600K now ( 589K )

Doesnt look like it anymore.

Biden' chances is growing in most states and if all voting were to stop as I am posting this message Biden would get EXACTLY 270 votes.

That said, Faithless electors are a thing, so even if Biden wins with 270, faithless electors could still end up voting Trump.

It's a mark of how absolute crap his opponent was. People didn't vote for Joe Biden for the most part, they voted for "Not Trump" and this is evidence. Biden isn't my fav but he's all I got...and he got my vote because of this.

@davillain-: Definitely.

Not american, but last election I would probably not have voted at all. This time I would only vote democrat because Trump is a borderline fascist.

I would rather vote for Obama, Bill Clinton or Dubya (WITHOUT Dick Cheney) over any of these.
