Imagine all that "fact" and yet he's still your President...... in 2019 and probably 2020.

lol

You're going to need more tin foil for a bigger hat son.

Russia Interfered, AGW is real, there is evidence of this Ukraine Scandal, and the polls are accurate. I do not care about the alternate reality you are living in where facts are not facts. You just changed the subject after I proved you wrong.

You've been doing this for hours now, and we are completely discussing something new each time.

Now please go back on-topic. Most Americans want Trump impeached and removed. How upset does this make you?

Proved me wrong? With GIFs of Nicholas Cage? Or was it when you listed a number of agencies and nothing else?

Upset? Not at all, because you're a joke and it's fun toying and I only feel slightly bad as I suspect you are mentally ill.

Ok, I am convinced now Zaryia, let's get rid of the justice system and judges and just have polls dictate how we convict people because if a poll says something it must be true.

He's not a competent president. He needs to go.

That matter not to his base. Maybe the see themselves in his incompetency. Nonetheless at this point he should have no support. Country over party not the reverse.

Yes. You are upset by this poll. Which is why you are doing everything in your power to derail the thread away from the poll.

Spamming insults, going completely off-topic, and telling blatant lies and never accepting you lied.

Yes. It was when I listed the agencies. I thought this was settled by now and that I wouldn't have to dig up citation, and that naming my sources should be enough since this is a settled matter.

Not really upset, but you're super excited over the poll.... maybe this time Big Z all your neckbearded dreams of impeachment will come true. I can see the stain in your pants.

Out comes the glass jaw "oh you are sending insults". Not one for a mirror Big Z.

It is fun winding you guys up, you actually think your delusion is fact. You keep providing news sources and links.... but you don't really understand what's in them. If they had anything he'd be gone, but he isn't and he won't be and you can live your little dreams of being "the resistance". Sending links means nothing, it isn't citation or fact because he is still there. I mean seriously... Vox... yikes.

I don't need to counter-citation as usual you need citation of something that doesn't exist. You have zero evidence.... you have zero fact.... he's your president. He'll be your president. Stock up on linen you are going to need it.

3 years and still nothing. All those posts and you've nothing. You must get so frustrated.... so anyhow you guys probably need to go glue yourselves to something to save the plant.

Keep up the great work, look out for Russians.... keep saying Mueller Report without understanding it.

P.S. Why are you so angry did you get the IQ test back and they apologised that they can't evaluate a potato?

That's not how impeachment works. They literally do have evidence, and continue to gather it. Then the House will vote. Then he will likely be impeached once they do. It is a procedure. See other impeachments please.

The issue is the GOP Senate cult won't care, and won't convict. No matter the evidence.

Here is the evidence mind you. There is 0 question he tried to get Ukraine to look into Biden. It happened. And that is a fact.

Seems like an unsafe level of support for impeachment if you're Donald Trump. It also seems like not enough support for Republicans in the senate to get on board.

Is it a simple majority needed in the senate or more?

Two-thirds majority will be needed for impeachment.

What do you mean by this? The poll didn't alter the perception of the evidence for me. I have not changed my personal opinions on this topic based off of national opinion. I am simply posting a quite revealing data set which made the news. Such a topic interests me (and most politicians mind you) and I will continue to be someone who posts current-event relevant polls.

I have noticed this poll is making the more conservative posters randomly sling ad-homs or be snarky/aggressive in this thread though. A bit more than usual I might add.

Jeezers you can just give your opinions on the OP and simply say this poll makes you upset instead of attacking me.

@horgen: You know that I agree with you, but the reality is that impeachment in the house and zero conviction in the senate means that Trump won't suffer any consequences apart from a short time where legislation is unlikely to pass.

Trump would probably even be able to sell the lack of a senate impeachment as no impeachment and complete exoneration to his supporters.

Legislation unlikely to pass? Moscow Mitch has stalled everything he can since February or earlier this year. Now he blames it on the impeachment process, earlier I guess he was just being unable to do his job.

It's a problem that it required someone like Trump to show how skewed US politics are and how much power Republicans actually have due to Congress not being representative of US.

That would be hard then. I think there are about 4-5 republican senators that COULD possible vote for impeachment, but no where near the number to hit 67.

Gordon Sondland testified under oath, that Rudy Guliani was working with the Ukranian Government under Trumps order.

Trumps Chief of Staff admitted today that Trump intentionally Withheld Military Aid, unless Ukraine agreed to help dig up dirt on the Bidens. He also said that Trump has worked with Foreign governments to influence our elections, and will continue to do so.

I don't know if that's so explicitly clear cut. Trump and his cronies are now conceding that it was quid pro quo, but that the withholding of funds lay contingent on corruption being fought. Which is exactly what Biden did in 2016 if we're to be honest with ourselves. But there's a few differences that grant Biden the benefit of the doubt that don't Trump:

  • Biden, as VP, was acting alongside others in demanding Ukrainian reform, who were also withholding funds.
  • Crowdstrike is again being pulled into the picture by Trump as cover, and this has been a debunked conspiracy theory for a while now.
  • Trump spoke highly of Shokin in the transcript, and this was after the US, EU, and others had condemned and were placing pressure on him to resign for blatantly obvious corruption (so much so, in fact, that Shokin's deputy general prosecutor, Kasko, resigned in protest against Shokin).

Which begs the question: if Trump is so concerned with corruption, which is what his administration is now leaning heavily on, why did he completely overlook, much less speak highly of a known corrupt Ukrainian official? I think the answer is obvious: because Trump has no actual interest in fighting corruption when it doesn't serve his own interests. He called Shokin a "very fine prosecutor" who got treated "very unfairly".

Where the hell is his issue with corruption there? He has none, because Shokin is his one means to smear Biden so he'll overlook it.

It's still about political party. Tribalism has very strong sway on weak minds. None of these Trump supporters here are actually thinking about what is factual. If they were, none of them would find the rationale to support him.

What I am saying is political party differences isn't the problem....it's a problem with the entire basis of our government. And ALL Americans should be against this.

Hmm, an interesting turn to no longer denying it all together but acknowledging that there was a general QPQ.

As to why he is mentioning Sholdin as a "very fine person" you know as well as anyone that Trump looks at this in a narrow scope, for him it´s just about the 2 American corruption scandals which involves Ukraine, Trump does not care about what other cookie jars Sholdin have had his dirty hands in.

Trump very much should care what cookie jars Shokin had his hands in if he's going to use him as leverage to expose corruption on our end. That Shokin is corrupt gives validation to the rationale of his dismissal instead of how Trump pushes it by framing him as an upstanding guy who got treated "very unfairly". The evidence is against Trump.

A few of the sworn testimonies (and texts) made it clear all the insiders knew and thought it was about helping his 2020 campaign and not the fake explanation of "Teh Ukraine Corruptionz!!!1" since that 1 angle is a fake conspiracy.

Trump couldn't even name any real corruption when asked.

Seems like an unsafe level of support for impeachment if you're Donald Trump. It also seems like not enough support for Republicans in the senate to get on board.

Is it a simple majority needed in the senate or more?

2/3 majority

also lol the tantrums the trumpkins are throwing itt.

must have struck a nerve.

Yes. The same Gallup poll that showed Hillary winning the Popular Vote which is National Opinion. Which she did.

National Opinion polls are very accurate. They were correct for 2016. Please do better research before posting

There is 0 reason to suggest this poll among others that show the same thing are not accurate. I will continue to stats a majority of Americans want Trump removed and impeached.

So you think a poll is accurate for a election that is more than a full year away?

Got it.

@zaryia: I didn't realize we were having a debate. WE are also talking about different things. There are two polls we were talking about here: the impeachment poll and the poll that shows that Elizabeth Warren is the Democratic front runner.

Please pay attention.

True. You merely said something factually incorrect and I corrected it.

2016 polls were accurate. The poll I linked is accurate.

I did not say anything factually incorrect, you just didn't understand what I was referring to, but that is OK.

I was referring to the poll that shows Elizabeth Warren being the front runner for the Democratic presidential nominee. We are also talking about another poll (which this entire thread is about) showing that 52% of Americans support impeaching Donald Trump.

Also what 2016 poll are you referring to? The reason I ask is because an overwhelmingly vast majority of polls that showed Hillary winning the 2016 election were wrong.

What these whistleblowers think might be a reason does not equal evidence.

While the republicans and democrats in the senate have to weigh the evidence, they still have to meet the burden of proof.

I mean I have high confidence that Donald Trump will win. The Democrats are facing an uphill battle and it's hard to compete against a booming economy as well as historic lows for black, Hispanic and women unemployment rates. The Democrats also do not have a clear or concise campaign message and it isn't helping that they keep flip flopping on certain issues.

That being said, I am not going to rely on polls (some of which proved to be highly inaccurate in 2016), I am just going to wait until election night.

High confidence? You really really aren't paying attention to the political climate.

We are heading to a recession. The unemployment rates have bottomed out.

Denying that there was anything to it being a QPQ, his initial response was there was nothing there remember...

And yes he very much should and not refer to Shokin as a "very fine guy" but you know Trump and his one-track mind, so for him it was just most likely the unfair situation he feels he is in.

Also, you can be sure that Trump does not really think he is a "very fine guy" or was treated "very unfairly" he is just talking BS there and kissing Ukraines butt to get something he wants.

There is no valid reasoning for what he did. Do you conservatives not care about our country, constitution, and government model? Serious question because you all put trump ahead of those.

That is your opinion, also you keep with the "care about your country" which is rich coming from someone who for almost 4 years has done nothing but discredit our democratically elected president and also argue for a dismantling of democracy.

Also, it´s strange you are ok with Biden doing similar things.

It's not opinion. It's fact.

Guess what...…..I'm exercising my constitutional right to denounce the criminal in chief. He's voided his time as president by breaking laws.

What has Biden done? There is no evidence he did anything. Stop believing the garbage coming from trump's mouth.
