oh I am not interested in being an agent for anyone, I just want to understand our new home country better and its actually not to bad.

free health care, free education, transportation is easy. BUT there are some things about life in Russia I would not like and I dont know if they have full access to Steam like the US has. never the less, overall it doesnt look horrifying.

Ahh don´t worry Comrade Tryit.

Russia is fine and as the world cup showed, the women are great and the beer is plenty and the football is good.

I didnt watch the world cup and really dont care about any sports. I am sure the women factor is just what we see, not the actual average.

I have done some travel enough to know these 'oh the women' are usually false.

yeah it seems nice..and the people are not stupid at least by looking at the education statistics.

You have no idea how controlling Russia is with it's citizens to say that.

yes you keep pointing out the ignorance I have already openly admitted I have and I keep asking you to feel free to share detailed information that you might have and you never do.

eventually I will get around to the american perspective of russia but for now I still have a lot of unanswered questions that I am researching.

You keep saying you are reading about Russia but you are totally ignorant. Also I'm not talking about perspective from different countries. I'm talking about Russia and their actions through history. I can only assume you never turn on any media.

Since i could not care less about some ads on Twitter and Facebook and fake news.

And hacking of multiple organizations and individuals, including the DNC, in the specific goal of interfering in our election - all of which was illegal. Hence the 12 indictments.

Russia interfered. Even Trump agrees,

P.S. http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/397789-trump-shown-highly-classified-intel-in-2017-proving-putin-personally

At the meeting ahead of his inauguration, the Times reported that former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers and former FBI Director James Comey briefed Trump on documents, emails and human sources leading them to conclude that Putin personally ordered cyberattacks aimed at disrupting the election.

You objectively lost this thread. Almost all of your posts are straw-man, off-topic, or goal post moves ITT. No sourcing. No citation. Just low IQ Breitbart comment section conspiracy spam.

You are an absolute train wreck to watch here, and even your god Trump has left you in the dust.

The DNC is not national security

And how they feel about Sanders is not really important for anyone than the young hippies he managed to attract.

Do you know what the minimum burden is? For a grand jury, the Prosecutor only have to prove there might be a chance it´s the person in question. Which is far from the much more heavy burden in a courtroom, where it's beyond reasonable doubt.

And a question, who do you think wins in a one-sided debate?

I know you and the left want this to be the smoking gun, but any first-year law student knows that the burden is not that high and it´s only the prosecutor's case being presented.

You think he doesn't have the countries best interest at heart here is something for you to read.

Jeez. 90% of this article is predicated upon a genetic fallacy.....an appeal to accomplishment. How convenient to disregard all other arguments simply under the umbrella of such flimsy rationale.

Jac is right. The burden for a grand jury is, at least in principle, 50+ percent likelihood. The burden for conviction is 95+ percent likelihood.

Something like 90+ percent of cases brought before a grand jury result in indictment. This is partially because cases are usually only brought before a grand jury when an indictment is all but assured, but it also speaks to the comparatively low burden.

As the old cliche says, you can indict a ham sandwich.

Trump has invited Putin to Washington. Maybe Putin should just move into the damn White House. It's become crystal clear who is really running things.

Yes, as I said they have to provide a probable doubt.

But would you trust the DOJ?

"According to a U.S. Department of Justice study on plea bargaining, “Grand juries are notorious for being ‘rubberstamps’ for the prosecutor for virtually all routine criminal matters. Where they have a choice, prosecutors often prefer grand juries because grand jury proceedings are secret. When prosecutors file an information, they are usually required to convince a judge in a public preliminary hearing that they have enough evidence to secure a conviction. This high burden is not present at a grand jury proceeding, where the prosecutor has to prove that there's only "probable cause" to believe that a crime occurred and the target of the proceeding comitted it. Also, during a preliminary hearing, the defendant can see and cross-examine prosecution witnesses, which gives them a good preview into the prosecution's case.

@Jacanuk: Maria Butina, the 29-year-old accused spy, has pled not guilty to charges of conspiracy and illegally acting as an unregistered Russian agent. Damn.

At her two-hour hearing on Wednesday, prosecutors detailed how Butina infiltrated the inner circles of Republican elites and the National Rifle Association while maintaining deep ties to Russian officials, oligarchs, and intelligence officers, allegedly building influential relationships and networks in anticipation of the 2016 election. The New York Times led with a headline about how Butina, who enrolled at American University as a graduate student, used sex to gain access, writing: “Maria Butina, Suspected Secret Agent, Used Sex in Covert Plan, Prosecutors Say.”

Also revealed during the hearing: Prosecutors say Butina moved in with a Republican political operative twice her age, though she privately expressed “disdain” for him...and made him do her homework for her. Court documents do not reveal her boyfriend’s identity, but the Times reports that he is “believed to be” 56-year-old Paul Erickson. Thanks to Erickson’s apparent homework help, Butina graduated with a 4.0:

They even has pictures. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/07/maria-butina-indicted-trump-russia-nra/

Butina in Moscow with former NRA president David Keene

And witnesses .

Who are we kidding here? And this being investigated by republicans.

So I take it that you assume Republicans, the same people who go to war for this country many instances instead of the Democrats, are somehow Russian agents?

And you talk about Trump being off the rails, lol at least he does not accuse the only party that cares about America, unamerican or Russian sleeper agents.

Also, i think Sasha Cohen showed that some Republicans/NRA members are willing to go with anyone backing up their side, after all, who could not see arming kids would be insane.

Reading through this thread, I can't help but to laugh because many of the people here that are screaming that the Russians must have interfered because the intelligence agencies said so are the same people that called the intelligence agencies liars back in the early 2000s when their information led to us going to war with Iraq, and called the intelligence agencies liars when the Snowden leaks came out in 2013.

Before anybody makes the accusation, no, I do not believe that they are lying about the Russians interfering with the elections. I have no doubt that they interfered, but I don't agree with people claiming that the Russians are the reason Donald Trump is president right now. There are plenty of people out there that would have voted for Trump (or against him), Russians or not, and Hillary Clinton still won the popular vote by almost 3 million people.

It's also funny that people want to get mad at James Comey for revealing that more possible evidence was located less than two weeks before the general election. Many of Trump's biggest haters don't know a thing about classified information, let alone care enough for it to be a deciding factor in whether or not they were going to vote against him. As for people that do know about classified information, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page had Top Secret clearances and still wanted Hillary Clinton to win. James Clapper was the freaking Director of National Intelligence and is more qualified to know what should and shouldn't be classified than anyone here, and he wanted Trump to lose.

Not to mention the people mad at James Comey for his timing probably weren't mad at the timing of the Access Hollywood tape being released (which I'm sure hurt Trump a lot more than Comey's 11th hour investigation announcement hurt Clinton, the general public knows a lot more about sexually degrading language than classified e-mails and the protocols to keep them secure), or the DOJ's timing of announcing the indictment of the 12 Russian nationals mere days before the Putin summit, knowing that it would be blowing up the news and even cause calls to cancel it.

I find it funny Republicans that pretty much turn a blind eye to what Trump says are suddenly upset by this. Trump's summit comments are no different than the bullshit he's been saying since he took office. But they don't really seem all that concerned, I mean, the Senate votes down the chance to summon Trump's translator, Republicans are likely going to continue damage controlling for him and working to undermine the Mueller investigation

Added, many Democrats are in the army. And most immigrants issue with the Army is why our country is a particular war.

Also, the last Democrat that want to be president was a war hawk.

Trump idealizes Putin. He does NOT consider him an enemy. And we're very sorry you do not understand that....it's not like his words and actions don't show that to the entire world.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t wake up in the morning with dread on my mind over politics because of who is in the White House, and that says a lot since the guy that was in office two presidencies ago resulted in me spending almost 3 cumulative years in Iraq.

You should consider chilling out and make sure you make it to the polls this fall, instead of trying to keep yourself sane by constantly reassuring yourself that the only reason Trump is president is because of Vladimir Putin and a few racist, bigoted morons too stupid to see how much better Hillary Clinton would be for the country.

Maybe you should be mad at the media since they decided to hold the Access Hollywood tape as an October surprise thinking that it would be the finishing touch to secure Clinton the presidency. If they would have just released it during the Republican primaries instead of waiting, for all we know, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or even Bernie Sanders may be president right now since the RNC probably would have forced Trump out of the race when there were plenty of other strong Republicans that could take his place at that point.

As for President Bush, it was still his intelligence community that gave him the information about WMDs, just like it is now President Trump’s intelligence community that gave the information about Russian meddling. I long accepted their findings, and contrary to popular belief, if actual evidence (not biased feelings based on hatred) points to collusion I would be right there with you wanting Trump removed. I wouldn’t even ask for impeachment, I would suggest immediate removal through the 25th Amendment due to the damage a compromised president could cause between discovery of collusion and the conclusion of impeachment hearings.

Trump cow towing to Putin at that "summit" made me ashamed to be an American. I am a moderate liberal. I couldn't stand dubya as prez. Didn't care too much for his dad. I was too young to judge Reagan's term as it happened.

But damn...none of them ever OPENLY capitulated on national TV to a foreign adversary. In front of a global audience. Say what you will about Reagan or Dubya(and I have PLENTY to say) but those guys had the stones to defend our country. They took pride in defending it. Sometimes too much.

For a president who denigrates anything that has a different POV as himself( Hillarie, NFLPA, Obama, etc.) what is one left to think of Putin? Is this a friend of Pres. Trump? An ally of the nation? Trump can shame the former president of the USA to no end regarding his place of birth. But with Putin, he extends his tongue and asks where to lick? There is absolutely no defense for such behavior from our country's foremost defender and diplomat. NONE.

This is truly the first President I have been ashamed of.

@Jacanuk: traffics horrible, more women then men, high opioid addict, no gay rights clearly, government has a lot of religious fundimentals, lots of corrupt police and officals, and they can't vote for local governers.
