All those other bosses functioned. With the Time Eater, I ran into multiple occasions where up and down stopped responding, Sonic would make no forward progress no matter how hard I held/pressed/mashed X, obstacles would pop in from nowhere, the Boss would fail to recognize I was near it and so the game would stop me a few yards away, waiting for it to do the hand clap attack thing that wouldn't come for, like, 3 minutes, pretty much killing me. It's a glitchy mess, and it's unclear how it's intended to work. For a direct comparison, Erazor's battle plays exactly like the main gameplay, for the most part, and there's a sense of motion. The Black Knight battle is extremely clear what you're supposed to be doing, and it works. It's kind of lame (waggle xInfinity), but I never had any trouble getting 5 Stars on it, certainly. Solaris was lame, too, but it was actually the least glitchy part of that game! Devil Doom was basically a Biohazard clone, and again functioned as intended. I feel like they put their noob programmers on the final boss of this one, is all.The Sega Genesis Controller and Sega Genesis aren't in the PC version? There oughta be a Genesis somewhere in the Green Hill section of the hubworld, and the Controller in the skill shop.
Also, really? Explain what makes Time Eater worse than Solaris, Erazor, whoever the hell the final boss of Black Knight was, or Devil Doom. I can see what makes him worse than Perfect Chaos, Finalhazard (which plays almost like it but with better controls, it seems), definitely Nega Wisp Armor, or even Metal Overlord, and maybe Perfect Dark Gaia.
But the worst final boss out of all 50+ Sonic games? I think not.

Having played the PS3 version, I think the whole movement bug is PC-exclusive. While Sonic does occasionally have trouble moving vertically in the fight, I've yet to have an instance where the buttons outright didn't do anything, and the whole boss recognizing you're near it seems more subtle on the PS3. HOWEVER, the issue of no forward progress, I've felt that one pretty hard in my version too, that's not PC exclusive.
I believe you really are suppose to switch back and forth when a friend says to switch in order for it to play as smoothly as intended.
It's weird. I'll do the exact same thing three or four times and sometimes I burn through the level and yet other times it just takes forever. Regardless, I got my achievement (which is why I had to play it so freaking much) and my S-Ranks (made it the first time on those, thankfully), so I don't have to touch it again.I believe you really are suppose to switch back and forth when a friend says to switch in order for it to play as smoothly as intended.

That's why we have Youtube. :D I'm still working on determining the legality of it, and (I think) doing a better job than Congress will do with its bill on it...mariostar0001
While you do that, I've already downloaded the entire soundtrack.

Chaos seemed a little too easy this time around to beat especially even when Sonic wasn't super.macrules_640Really?
Maybe because the epic Open Your Heart remix inspired you to blast through with Sonic Speed.SuperSmashBro1lol. But it's probably true. :P
Maybe because it only took four hits instead of the six from Sonic Adventure?macrules_640Nah. It's a little complicated, but allow me to explain.
In Generations, you can boost, meaning you can constantly keep maximum speed and momentum going into hitting Perfect Chaos. On top of this, if you get to Chaos the hit essentially goes in. In Adventure, not only do Chaos' attacks tend to have more difficulty in dodging, but since you must have at least close to top speed to land a hit on him, on top of the fact your rings are ever-decreasing due to Super Transformation, there's a lot more to worry about during the fight in Adventure.

I told PHC to please explain what made it worse than specific bosses.
I didn't say it was a bad boss battle at all.
However, I cannot say that it was my favorite 3 Sonic final boss, or even my 2nd favorite. It's probably sitting under Wii Perfect Dark Gaia (have yet to do the HD one), Perfect Chaos, and Nega Wisp Armor for me. It's kinda tied with Biolizard right now, I kinda disliked the whole idea of moving Sonic in a space-like atmosphere since control always felt restricted, as if he isn't moving as much as he should be.

You have a point there Cloud, and even on hard Chaos was pretty easy.
3DS News:
TSSZ have just confirmed that Sonic Rush's Water Palace will be in the 3DS version and not Sonic Unleashed's Windmill Isle.
On top of that, SG3DS gets a 90% from ONM.
Oh! ....I've played a demo, but should I get Sonic Rush? I've never gotten through it.3DS News:

Well, it's nice to see that at least one handheld game gets represented in the 3DS version.
So altogether...
Well, it seems that the 3DS version has more tropical and water levels than the HD version.
Funny, but nobody puts stock in GS's reviews. Everybody I know doesn't. I would pick a reviewing group less retarded. Like Gameinformer. :PShadowofSonic
You gotta find it funny that Sonic outscored Link and tied with Mario though that seems a bit inconsistent, I agree. Watching the SS review, GS seemed all bitter that Nintendo didn't want them revealing certain in game content in either game when they did the video review so instead of being polite about it like IGN was (they held off debuting the video review for SM3DL until Monday) they acted like a bunch of spoiled children.
But it is crazy how Sonic getting an 8 is great but Mario and Zelda getting something lower than a 9 is bad.
Then again for years everyone complained about "score inflation" and don't get me started on the folks having fits about big AAA games that got scores lower than 9s like Gears of War or Uncharted 3.
That's the nice thing about being modern Sonic fans. We're thankful for our 8s. We should all pray (if you believe in that)
"Dear God, thank you for the 8/10 Sonic games have received. We know Sonic isn't always bringing his A game and reviewers can be very harsh so seeing him get 8s brings us much happiness. We will not throw angry hissy fits like the Zelda fans because their game didn't get a perfect 10." amen.

Only one score matters. The score you ,the player, gives it.Lol. And GS rated this higher than Skyward Sword (though they seem to be in the minority on that one) WHAT IS GOING ON?sonicphcThis is all Tom's fault.

He's entitled to his opinion! ''Only one score matters. The score you ,the player, gives it.''Sonic teaches us discipline.Soniczero1993Way to be random. Wait....? Isn't Sonic the opposite of that? He's impatient and rather bull-headed. :P

[QUOTE="Cloud_765"]Because it's only decent. Don't make it out to be a fantastic game or anything...:PI honestly think Colors Wii was the superior game. More true levels to the game and less filler. Also, the power-ups were just more well-rounded overall.I saw Sonic Colors for 20 dollars at my local Wal-Mart... And yes it is the Wii version.
Y NOT MORE PEOPLE HAS GAME YET??
