It seems that it doesn't matter who the Capitals put between the pipes, they always seem to do a pretty good job.Yagr_ZeroHoltby has been really good. They have good scouts on goaltenders.

And Ovie is heating up as he should and Semin is playing well.
They're a force to be reckoned with for sure.

And they are peaking at the right time too. :)
Huge game tonight for the Leafs. Always tough against the Sabers. Do-or-die game for them.
EDIT: Well, no surprise, already a goal for the Sabers. Leafs gotta get the PP going!
[QUOTE="Swanogt19"]Yes players DO know where it is. Yet players get hit there more often than not. Not everyone has gotton hurt. Sure the puck wasn't there. Hits do happen away from the puck. It's hockey after all.

Yeah, but when you put a lick on a guy that effects his vertabrae, you should at least get some kind of consequence. An example needed to be set here. Suspending a guy for causing injury on a clean hit is BS. As I said in my first post Matt Cooke who delivered a dirty hit did not get any consequence. Very sad news. Big part of the French Connection line. R.I.P:(Sabres legend, Rick Martin died at the age of 59 today. Heart attack while driving.

The 'Hawks have battled their way into OT the past two games for one point each.
That's definitely better than losing, but they need to defeat the Sharks today.
Niemi usually plays them marvelously. :/
Hawks have been playing hot the past month, if they make the playoffs (which I'm sure they will, but the WC is so tight), I would hate to play them. The 'Hawks have battled their way into OT the past two games for one point each.

You can get an interference call without hitting someone. There is no evidence that makes this a dirty hit. A place on an ice, a penalty, and an injury do not qualify for a dirty hit. Should I mention the Matt Cooke hit again?[QUOTE="Los9090"] Yeah, but when you put a lick on a guy that effects his vertabrae, you should at least get some kind of consequence. The Sharks went down hard after a strong second period.
They're comfortable again... for now.

Canucks vs AVs tonight! Damn Avs, need to just get a win. Can't wait to watch though, nucks vs avs is always entertaining.
Big win tonight. Every win now is big. Winnable game tomorrow in Florida. Reimer comes up big again, and Phaneuf showing signs he's back (Kaberle trade may of sparked him). Luke Schenn continues to be our best D-man. Only player in NHL with 150+ blockes shots and 200+ hits. What a beast.
EDIT: Nooooooo!:cry:Giguere is starting tomorrow:cry:
Congrats to the Canucks, division winners with 103 points. Watching that game last night was painful though. I don't mind losing if the players are giving it their all,but the Avs have basically given up. No hustle to the puck, more than half the time they watched Vancouver skate and pass around them. During the off-season, they need to evaluate who cared and who didn't and start making some changes. hockey73I still say Vancouver has the best shot at winning the Cup...barring an epic choke

Luongo has to actually play well in the playoffs, and they have to pray they don't face Chicago:P But they have more depth than they have had the past 2 years.
Matt Cooke's an idiot, I blame him for that loss. He's probably going to get a suspension, if I were the Pens, I'd sit him an additional few more games. hockey73Agree. Lemieux looks foolish too IMO. I think it was at the Gm meetings where he said that repeat offenders should get a lot of games and the TEAM should be fined? I doubt he would want to pay $1 million. He should keep his mouth shut until he gets Cooke off his team. And why the heck is he an Assistant Captain?
I agree. I really think they should of went after Richards though, but if they win then it doesn't matter.

I wish I was a reporter, "So Mario, what's your stance on what you said last week and how much do you think the Penguins should be fined???""
Tip of the hat to Colin Cambell and the NHL coming down hard on that piece of garbage, repeat offender M.Cooke... suspending him for the remainder of the regular season(10 games) and the first round of the playoffs! Now that's how you send a message to these cheap shot artists! Go chew on that Cooke suspension Mary-O!

I actually (kinda) wish they were a bit soft, and Mario would come out and say "Look, I mean't what I said, and this was one of those hits, so I'll deal with it myself." Not saying he can't but it's already severe enough so he probably won't hurt his team and player more. If it was softer, I could see him doing that. I wonder if the NHL thinks this kinda makes up for not doing anything after the Savard hit.
Cooke: "I need to change".
No duh. I still don't get why some Pens fans I've heard on the radio or in comments on news stories (my friend included) are defending him and this hit.
