All SE Games Discussion Thread!

Well, I've had so much cash just sitting in my pocket I decided to buy a DS Lite along with FFXII: Revanent Wings and Lumious Arc. I haven't actually played on it yet, waiting for it to charge, but I'm eager to continue playing in the world of FFXII.kryu88

I'm on the mission where I play as Vaan and you have to sneak into that heavily guarded place and I just cannot do it...I keep getting killed halfway there since Vaan cannot heal himself. Did you get there? How did you do it?

I can read, write, and speak fluently in Japanese.... So yes I do understand it:D

I just completed that mission and the 2 that follow that sneak mission in chapter 3.

I was able to sneak to the bottom corner of the screen but that guard caught me. I set Vaan's gambit to sprint, ran around the bottom of the stairs (to avoid the archers), ran up the far side and then to the top of the stairs. I even got the 2 chest along the way. Didn't try for the chest at the top of the screen cuz Vaan was getting low on health.

You have to tell Vaan a couple of times to stop fighting and run again but once he makes the top of the stairs the mission is complete no matter how many of the bad guys are chasing him.

I also made sure that Vaan was at least level 15 so he could survive the run. I failed the first time but after leveling, he made it!

Forgot..:roll:

It is also good to have Vaan wearing the Winged Boots so that the archers cannot immobilize him.

Neat, those are the ones that appear in the dengeki playstation magazine, the gameplay looks as fluent as an actual fmv and versus looks pretty bloody for a ff title, can't wait :P.

There are battles that can be fought in every area that the characters have cleared. There are also side quests/hunts available for areas in previous chapters. Thomaj has these. He also sells the winged boots.

I'm busy leveling and doing the side quests/hunts. Found out that there is a secret ending if you get to 100% game completetion. The side quests count into the total percentage.

I found out one other thing about the ending. Besides 100% completion you have to defeat the final boss at level 99! :o

I will definitely be leveling for awhile! Most end bosses are hard enough but if this boss will be at level 99, I'll have to make sure all my guys are too.

wow an 8.5! For some reason i wasn't expecting that high of a score from GS! Not that it matters anymore...that game came out like a month ago lol

I'm also surprised that it got that high of a score from GS and that the review is pretty much all positive. The reveiw actually reads as if the score was higher.

It is pretty bad that it took almost a month to do a review for this game!

It really is strange that it seems like everything with a FF in the title is slow to be reviewed. Even FFT:WOTL took almost a week and GS was doing quite a bit of previews for this one.:?

At first everybody was Journeyman lvl 2...then they somewhat fixed it to lvl 6 for some reason....funny how it happened though. :lol: All the blog posts about "Whut is up with ma lvl!11!"..... :P

I like the one that was complaining because he just made level 7 and was now a 6 but several of the other around that post were in the mid 20s complaining.

However, I prefer the title of level 6 (super spy) to my current title of super bagman! :roll:

Yea! It had some great minigames! Some lead to quite a lot of frustration however....but some were just plain aewsome. I really loved the Malboro one and the Bomb one. Card battles were good too, yea! I never did get all the cards though...some of those mini games were too hard! XD

Yea! I actually did finish that game! XD It was lots of fun! Although the last 'battle' wasn't what I thought it was going to be. But I really did have quite a lot of fun with that game, didn't think I'd get so much enjoyment out of it...

So did i and i to found it to be a great game the minigames and card battles are entertaining enough :D.

Yea! It had some great minigames! Some lead to quite a lot of frustration however....but some were just plain aewsome. I really loved the Malboro one and the Bomb one. Card battles were good too, yea! I never did get all the cards though...some of those mini games were too hard! XD

Yeah i didnt get all the cards either some of the minigames are hard! :P i also had a crack at online card battles it wasnt quite pokemon diamond battles but it was still fun :D

Well, i know more about FFVI now. My friend brought it over for the pass two days. I've watched him play on my TV ( GBA Adaptar to the GC. ) So far, i'm not quite understand the storyline. The characters. i really don't like. The chocobo riding would seem to **** me off...alot.
