In RoC, I am in Zordoom Prison. I think I am about 60% done.

Where are you?

Lunar Knights wasn't bad but it wasn't as fun as the review made it out to be. The final battle was just utterly fustrating.

I really enjoyed Luminous Arc a LOT more.

latte428

I'm in Zordoom Prison too. I'm stuck at
one of the decryptor thingies. The one right by the guy's cell that you're supposed to be rescuing (I forget his name >_>)
I have both DQM:Joker and Heroes of Mana for my DS.

Which is the better of the 2 games?

I'm going to be playing both but just can't decide which to start first....

latte428

Personally i would say DQM as i like the DQ series more than mana and i just dont think that heroes of mana is that good.

Celes:

I think I remember which one you are at. It was the last one I remember in that area.

That was the hardest. I did these steps
This was the door to Talwyn, right? There is a gap above and to the right of the start that has to be bridged. Once the spark moves over that one, immediately move down and to the left for the next gap. Move the bridge connector to the top/right. The next gap is the one to the right that goes down. You have to bridge the right gap first even though the left spark is heading to a gap. Once that bridge is made move the connector to the left gap. I did this one I don't know how many times. I kept filling the gap for the left spark first cuz it looked closer
Darn GS won't let me quote and use spoiler tags...

I started DQM last night and I am having a blast slaughtering slimes in the first area. Talk about easy leveling! :D

Unfortunately..no. :(

All you can do is keep fighting the melee battles in the last few area to get XP.

I was able to beat the boss (who was at level 99 since I had 100% completion) at level 70.

I was only 56 (if I remember right) on my first play through but I didn't have 100%.

Personally i would say DQM as i like the DQ series more than mana and i just dont think that heroes of mana is that good.

I'm with you on that. I liked the eariler installments of the series, but recently, the series went down the drain IMO.

Yeah true, they totally messed around with the Mana series.. its disappointing to see such a long series that started out so wonderful getting shot down.

Yeah..

That is my only real complaint on RW.

It would have been nicer if there was at least a random set of areas to level up. Re-playing the same ones over and over again does get VERY old! :(

I was kind of disappointed in Children of Mana. It was too repetitive!

Yeah, you guys need to play the old Mana games back on the Super Nintendo!! If you havent played Secret of Mana or Seikendenstu 3, you should try those. Secret of Evermore is like a side-series from Secret of Mana, so you can play that as well!

They don't really connect. Same magical creatures and enemies, all else changes practically.

You have to add them to your esper party and then they can only be summoned at a summoning gate.

Don't know why they are not just added automatically like the other espers....

Yeah, i wish it was like that. It would make my battles so much easier, or let more then one level 3 esper come out...It's hard having all the espers, and having the restriction on only using one..;_;

Made me wonder too through a battle with out summoning gates. Discovered it on the next map with a gate. It wasn't really clear at all.

I need to be getting myself a job, i just keep pushing it off..So far the line up i'm interested in is..Kingdom Hearts : 358/2, and Birth By Sleep..and possibly KH3.., FFIV DS and maybe if rumors are true FFVI DS..FFXIII, maybe and possibly FFversusXIII..and ofcourse a PS3...:P

Haha! I know! Even looking at the list of games I want that are coming out in March will be enough to put a dent in my bank account. Luckily I've already paid for my copy of Crisis Core... but I'll want the strategy guide too (though I already have one in Japanese) and the GoW for psp, plus It's a Wonderful World also comes out in March.. and SSBB if it doesn't get delayed even further will be something I'd like to pick up too (meaning I'll also have to buy another wiimote as my second one broke :( ) wow that's a lot of money.... Silly Square and their making of so many games that I must buy.

I reserved Crisis Core, and GOW last saturday fully paid off. :D So i don't worry about those, i just need an extra 20 for the Crisis Core walkthrough... Its a wonderful world, i have no idea about that, i've heard about it. Just never looked into it, i thought it was only going to the UK..?

It is not only forging but you need to talk to certain characters to get other events. Penelo is one of those along with other characters that join later in the game.

Eck, oh well. Whats done is done, i can't go back and finish it 100% since i saved right before the final battle. Be warned everybody if you save before the final battle, you can not go back and do the other things you missed.

True. All the side quests disappear after chapter 9.4. If the quest book in the ship's log has missing holes in the quests, there are some missing. After 9.4 you cannot go back!

I think that when I had all the quests, I was at 90 or 92%...

Looking at the log in my save that had 100%, all quests through 81 should be complete in the log by the end of chapter 9.4 for 100% completion.

I find that so annoying that they have a cutoff point. That's the only thing in this game that has me really annoyed. I would've loved it if I hadn't accidently gone past that point without having everything done...

I could understand it if going to the final area cut you off from the rest of the world but it doesn't.

I'm not certain why they decided to do this. The final decision for the competion should have been done right as the characters entered the final boss fight and not chapter 10 itself. The extra scene was nice and rather funny but SE did make it awful hard to get. I thought it would be longer.

For those who want to know what it contained, here is a brief overview...
It started with Penelo waiting just outside the gates in Rabanastre just like the scene eariler in the game for the half Vera woman. Vaan arrives, late and they discuss where they are going now. Penelo asks if the other will be mad that they are not telling them that they are leaving. Vaan states that this is a mission for only the sky pirate and his trusted companion. As they start to leave, espers appear in front of them and Filo and Kytes are there controlling them. They are not happy that Vaan and Penelo are trying to sneak out. Vaan picks up Penelo in his arms (little hearts float up) and runs through the espers. The rest of the scene is Vaan and Penelo running (and laughing the whole time) from the others while they are yelling at them to stop and summoning more espers to try to block their path.
It was very funny and cute to watch!
