Why shouldn't it exist? I can play COD4, Orange Box, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, & GTAIV right now on my core system and those games will run better than an 80GB PS3, and that's a fact. The only reason it shouldn't exist is because it shows how much of an overpriced, overengineered steaming pile that the PS3 really is.

Can't play XBLA games? Why do you think they call it the ARCADE version? It comes with 5 Arcade games already! And you don't have to even buy an XBL account to download any of the arcade games. You fail hard.

You can get used Xbox 360 20GB drives off EBAY for less than $50 if down the road you decide you want to get into more of the hardcore gaming elements (DLC Maps, expansions) or the Multimedia (Download HD movies & TV shows).

If you know off the bat that you want to do these things, then you get the $299 Xbox. If you are relatively new to gaming or just want to enjoy playing a great variety of games, you can spend $199 and still get all the great games.

The point is, you have a choice, and as Wii sales can attest, it isn't the hardcore gamer that is moving consoles like mad. Unlike the Wii though, the 360 has the hardcore gamers covered too, and for only $299.

All Arcade games are less than 150MB. The Arcade SKU comes with a 512MB memory card. Anything you buy off XBL you can delete when you aren't using it, and re-download it for free later. Seriously.. You should brush up on your knowlege before embarrassing yourself.

ninja gaiden 2 dlc is 150mbs in size, halo 3 is also 150 mb i think. i think most of the dlc's are about 150mb in size....

i can only hold so much on a memory card...its not enough.

It comes down to the fanboy mentatlity that if they succumb to purchasing an Xbox 360, that it will marginalize their PS3 purchase (which it will, to a degree). But if you're a gamer, you're only punishing yourself over an ill-conceived loyalty to a company that could care less that you spent $400 on their blu-ray player.

Many consumers don't care about about a hard drive or downloadable content. Ever heard of the Wii?

This system is targeted at the Wii audience and they are plenty. I heard the box for the arcade will be redesigned to include avatars.
