2 franchises that needs to die are

EA just needs to accept that they can't compete with Call of Duty.

Need For Speed is another franchise that's been going downhill for years. They are running out of ideas for the series and the idea of a non-NASCAR racing game getting a new game every year is just silly anyway. I'm surprised it was so big for so many years but sales have finally been going down the last few years. Nobody cares about street racing anymore and they failed big time when they tried making it a simulation game.

N4S:HP is fantastic, the best arcade racer in years. and shift was pretty good. ok not quite a sim as GT5 but a nice half way between arcade and sim. here's an idea. if your not a fan of a series... don't buy it.

i don't like plums. but the fact i don't like plums does not make me want to deprive the world of plums. i just dont buy them. it easy.

Call of Duty and Medal of Honor.

They just need to stop making FPS for like 3 years. Maybe that will make it a little fresh again.

SW Battlefrnot is a franchise that needs to ressurect.

mario kart - not been great since super mario kart (in fact kart racing games in general)

It's most popular in America, but why do you think they do games in London? And people come out in waves over there to support it? And they want more? Im just tired of all the music games they need at least a 1year or 2 of rest. I also find it funny that just cause some people didint like 13 that they think ff should die. I dont like DQ but you dont hear me screaming DQ should die.

I disagree. FF still has some of the absolute best music/art direction in gaming. What they need to do is hire a creative writer.

But not because there is anything wrong with it per se, but rather because Hideo Kojima doesnt want to continue it, in fact the reason he made MGS3 was because his fans asked to and from what I have heard he made MGS4 because he was THREATENED to, in fact I heard he got 2 death threats telling him to make the game. No one should be a slave to their own creation.

Halo and CoD

Both series have out stayed there welcome. unless 343 studios is able to bring Halo back to its former glory I think it should have ended with 3.

As long as there are people willing to buy the game, they can keep them going. They should kill the franchises just because you don't like them? By that logic, all franchises should be killed off because there isn't one out there that is liked by everybody.

With Shift and Hot Pursuit, the Need for Speed series seems to be heading to the right direction so no the series doesn't need to die for now.

Not only is it likely BS, but it doesn't prove his point. Not being "head" of the project does not even mean that he wanted the series to end. Any monkey can tell that judging from the story of the MGS games already in release, that the story wasn't complete.
