Never impossible. All Sony has to do now is focus on the Wii since it's rapidly catching up to the X360. They could do it. We just have to wait and watch the Sales Charts.

ye you are right. the japanese dont have a liking for the various shooters etc etc. they are anticipating mgs4, final fantasy 13, gt5 mainly and once those release you will see a huge difference in terms of software sales, hadrware sales, etc because those three are the main system sellers so far.

well, i think the argument is that some people are claiming that the ps3 will have sold more units lifetime than the 360 THIS year. i would say not this year, but 2009 the ps3 has a good chance of outselling the 360... unless the 360 has a nice price drop

youre forgetting that the ps3 comes with a bluray player so even if the 360 is still cheaper by a small margin the bluray player pretty much balances that out

yes it does seem far fetched at the moment because the ps3 has no killer appz yet apart from gt5p but that dont really count since its a demo. although it has performed very well! but ye to say its impossible would be naive because once the ps3 has released its load i.e. ff13, gt5, mgs4 etc etc. you will definitly see a spike just how xbox360 had its moment of glory when its major games out last year. its the same principal and for people to say the ps3 will not sell is just not a very smart thing to say

An Xbox premium can now be had for about the same price as a Wi,if that doesn't boost sales then I doubt anything will.

I'm not judging you by your post man, but the reasons you listed are mainly the arguments of people who doesn't think of their system as a long-term investment:

most multiplats are indeed better on 360. but you know (i guess almost everyone knows it by now) that EA, Ubisoft and a lot of other devs, in fact each time there are more, are beginning to make the game first on the PS3 and then port to 360. So you can expect multiplats to be slighly better on PS3 from 2008 on...

Games - the biggest PS3 games, even some that were shown in 2005 (E3) are still not out. Once Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, SOCOM, Gran Turismo and Tekken comes out, what the 360 will have to counter those? What are it's games with the same impact as those? Or do you really think that there are as much system sellers coming for the 360? Not to mention the titles meant to realease in 2009.

That's why i said denial. Because believing the 360 is the better console is focusing too much on the *right now* (right now it is the better one, i've always admited that), but it won't take too long for the PS3 to steal 360's position in both aspects, sales and games.

Are you serious? The cheapest standalone blu-ray player other than the PS3 is 400 dollars so how does 50 bucks or even 130 bucks make the PS3 at 399 and the 360 at 349 even?

What i do agree with is saying, "X360 is the system of right now". It is the system of right now & for the past 3yrs. In the "long run"....What long run? By the time Sony gets to boast about PS3 surpassing X360, M$ will be talking the next Xbox. Sony poured too much into this long running PS3 to counter M$ in 2010 with a new system. M$ just wanted to solidify themselves in the console race and hardware problems aside, i think they're doing a pretty dam good job!

I have yet to see you say anything positive about the 360 in any of your post and almost every post you make is a claims about how the PS3 is far superior instead of just enjoying the damn system.

Oh, and FYI (Much like GT3 did) since Metal Gear Solid will be bundled with the PS3 of course it's gonna sell well.

Personally, With MGS4 anf GTA4 Saint's Row 2 The Getaway, GeOW2, ect ect. It's a great year to be an all round "GAMER" Something you can't be if you are buised against a game due to it being on a different system.

The 360 started off with a 5 million lead over the Wii late 2006, and the Wii surpassed it. Nobody is saying the 360 will instantly stop selling. People are saying the PS3 will close the gap, and then surpass the 360 in sells.
