You dont even have to return it.. Most places have a 30 day price match guarentee. (If they dont, your credit card company might) So you'll just get the $100 refund.

I would guess to say that Sony contacted them because the report might have irrefutable proof of the sku and price.

wow can u do that??? when i bot my ps3 i asked the employed how many days doi have of warranty if my ps3 brakes and he said 90 days so i can just go to walmart and say that my ps3 has many errors and then they returnt me my money.. yes!!!!!!!!!

Its typical for consoles to lose money for the first couple of years and make money on the licensing and software. Think about it. If they where costing $800 to make and they sold for $400, then they lost $400. Now if it is costing them $400 to make and they sale it for $299, they are only losing $101 per console. That is not as hard to swallow or get stockholders to accept.

Walmart has one of the best return policies. Someone even gut out thier PS3 and stuffed it with a phone book and they took it back.

Yup. Wal Mart will let you exchange, return just about anything. Heck, Ive even returned stuff I didn't buy from wal mart and got store credit because I didn't have a receipt.

it's white because they think it will be more successful like Wii and 360

The only people owned here are the suckers that payed $600 at launch, and now in 2008 have no game to justify their purchases, while Sony churns out downgraded SKU after SKU and the pricepoint goes into a freefall because of this catastrophe.

I think it shows sings of maturity on the part of Sony because they are being humbled that they tried to be cocky and put out a $600 system thinking it would sell ridiculous amounts because it said "playstation" on it ....and quite frankly it didn't sell insanely awesome that's for sure.

I don't believe pricedrops are coming that soon.
